Good that we signed one of the most exciting right-backs in England who then wasn't played to make a point before we signed another right-back for £40m, so now we have three right-backs when most teams can logically only play one right-back. Smart.

It's a mess.
I wonder if there is any chance of Porro doing a 'Cancelo role' on the left. He's the most technical one out of the three and might be able to cross decently on his left while also coming inside to use his right for shooting and passing.

Let's not get carried away, i've been following his loan fairly closely and he's looked quite inconsistent. Looks good going forward but still very suspect defensively and positionally.
Also, I don't think his raw ability/potential has ever been in question, ITKs, Trix I believe alluded to his effort in training not being good enough which is another thing he needs to address. You can't reward any player, especially young ones with game time if they're not busting their balls in training, sets a bad standard.

I don't think anyone means to crown him as the next big thing. Just that his lack of minutes was absurd based off the absolute shit Emerson & Doherty had served up for 30 or so games.
5 minutes in the premier league, 25 min vs Forest in the EFL Cup & 13 min vs Portsmouth in the FA cup. Meanwhile he can be put in the Ligue 1 team of the week based off a performance vs PSG. It was purely down to Conte's stubbornness.
