Got a good feeling about this.

Yes it's a bit of a gamble with his lack of big league experience but he just has a presence about him...and that feel good factor.

Could see him having a real affect through out the Club.

We need a big positive character and he's certainly that.

And someone who won't get too despondent when Levy inevitably moves the goal posts.

If he can navigate through the political hoops, he might just succeed long term here.

But Levy is one hell of an obstacle for any ambitious manager.
Levy moving goal posts is why it doesn’t really matter who are manager is, we are just on an endless cycle. I wish the guy good luck and admire fans optimism, but fundamental problems still remain.

And that’s why it is goodbye Kane, this mess needed sorting out way back, we have wasted seasons of prime Kane with god awful mismanagement and that’s on Levy.

Can’t believe after some of the weak football served people think it just needs a bit of tweaking. just the mentality of some of the players is bad enough. It needs a clear out or as i said needed as it should have been done earlier, then perhaps we would be a bit further along and Kane might be a bit more optimistic about sticking around. I don’t think he thinks it needs a slight adjustment here and there, he isn’t stupid, he is a model pro. He knows this current lot are nowhere near good enough.
The turnover since the final Poch season has been insane. We can't keep buying tons of new players, waiting for the odd gem. And saying we need to refresh the squad every damn year.

Let's get some proper coaching and cohesion.

Kane, Son, Porro, Bentancur, Richie, Bissouma, Royal, Romero all have high potential.

Youngsters like Gil, Skipp, Devine, Udogie, Spence and Sarr.

Then the safe but unspectacular squad players like Hjoeberg and Davies.

And of course a bunch of who the hell knows like Reggie, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Sess etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few players we deemed useless have really good seasons under Ange. It's what good coaches do.

I think Ange will be different in this regard.

He really doesn't strike me as the type of bloke to go for clichés and to play the blame game.

Of all the options we could've picked he's about as different a manager to Jose and Conte as we could've possibly found. Whereas Jose will put his finger in someone's eye and park the bus to win a game, Ange is a pure romantic who would rather lose playing by his principles than win compromising them. He's someone who will take the blame rather than deflect - a fundamentally decent man.

He's about as close as we're ever gonna get to the old Bill Nic quote in the modern game (you know the one).

We might struggle under him for a while, but this is the most "Spurs" I've felt about a manager in a long time and I like it.
Fantastic post 💙🤍

Fingers crossed we have a guy who will say to Levy "I don't have a problem with a bargain buy, but if they don't fit the style of football, they ain't a bargain"

I suppose the one benefit of the insane turnover is Ange has a lot to work with as we've got 4 managers' worth of signings. Even if a bunch of them are shite there's quite the mixture of players.

Will be fascinating to see who he ends up keeping and who gets bombed out - genuinely haven't got a clue.

Quite right. And they will remain until ENIC and Levy fuck right off.

Enjoying the positivity.

Michael Bridge tweeted earlier that his leave has been cancelled and he’s live from the training ground tomorrow morning. So it must be happening at some point tomorrow.

Do you think Kane see loads of potential in this squad? I don’t think he does, he knows it’s poor. His goals have masked how poor much of our squad really are. It makes his goal tally even more remarkable.

Really, no holiday for the guy, fair play although I would’ve thought he could’ve done with a rest for a week before starting with us. He could’ve evaluated the squad and some transfer targets on some beach somewhere to begin with.

Dude, I think its Michael Bridge's holiday leave cancelled, I'd imagine Ange has delayed a day.

Probably right as a leopard doesn’t change their spots the hope is that if this guy is another Poch/Redknapp etc then we could have good times around the corner still even under Levy’s ownership.

If we get the right DofF in and trust Ange’s vision it could work well.

Levy does spend but Jose and Conte were just never ever the right fit for us at all.

We have a decent budget each year but we won’t ever have city / Newcastle / Chelsea / Man.U billions so we need to be clever in the market, so someone like Big Ange who can tap into the Asian market and get us some bargains from there will be a good fit for us.

If this works out, will you give levy some credit? He’s got the last few appointments wrong, but I have a good feeling about this one. We’re all quick to jump in levy’s back, but let’s also remember to give him a par on the back shouod this turn out ti be the right choice. He certainly feels more like a spurs man.

i’m sure this will be popular 😄

For me this is what it comes down to. Ange appears willing to take risks and equally to take the blame when risks don't payoff. Our last few managers always played it safe. Even worse, Conte and Jose never took an ounce of blame. They'd blame the players or the club or Levy instead. It's no wonder that when the times got hard, the players downed tools. Ange appears to be an actual leader. Jose and Conte both lead through reputation alone. AP has no reputation to rely on, so everywhere he has been he's had to convince a skeptical group of players, fans, and the media that he is up to the task. We've totally lost our identity since Poch left. Big name "winning" managers and big $ signings have taken us further away from where we want to be. Our ascendancy under Jol, Redknapp, and the Poch all came from buying young, undervalued talent and developing it while playing attractive soccer. We moved away from that and paid the price.

So maybe Kane doesn't play as the 9 in his system and somebody like Richarlison or Son does? Kane has been dropping a little deeper already...I don't see this as "Kane won't work for his system"...any coach in the world would tinker their system to get the best from kane..
Kane could play as the 10 in a 4-2-3-1 with Richarlison as the 9.
