Back in the day (90s) when we were really crap and struggling to find a balanced lineup I remember hearing a commentator say if 6 batsmen can’t score the runs you need then you’re picking the wrong ones. Feel like this applies to the Aussies picking 9 of them. safety first often bites you on the backside.
A draw my friend.
A draw.
If we don't lose, you cannot win.
It's the Ashes.

Not sure about the call to bowl first on this pitch and given the rainy conditions to come in the next few days. Should mean Aussies bowl in cloudier conditions, no?

Right call, try bowl them out cheaply. Get big runs quickly and see where that takes us….. and pray for decent weather breaks

Agreed, England will fancy their chances chasing a total quickly if weather is an issue.

I get the plan, but can the "bowl them out cheaply" be achieved on a pitch like this, in such conditions?
