Surely has a knock otherwise completely agree no way PEH should be starting ahead of him but hey Ange makes his own decisions.

Richy must be injured, not good news and if so then no wonder we're not agreeing with Bayern until we've signed a replacement.
5.5 months. Welcome to a lifetime of ups and downs

Whatever happens in the remainder of the transfer window I’m so excited to watch us under Postecoglu in the coming seasons. Tactically we’re so much more interesting and it’s so refreshing seeing us want the ball and playing so positively. It’ll take time obviously but we’re finally going to be fun to watch again.

Postecoglou talking about VDV and other bits..
"It's not done yet. We need some bolstering in that central defensive area. We need defenders who can work in an aggressive formation, defend well and cover behind them. We'll be looking to bring in a couple in that area in the coming days."

Like the way he doesn't beat around the bush. So clear on what we need and leaves no one in doubt. Think it's becoming obvious now likes of Dier and Davies are not cut out for his system. Romero, VDV and one other and think it's curtains for those two in terms of regular game time thank God.

Ange speaking to Spurs Play now: top bloke. When asked how was that: “that’s ok, it’s still on me that we are working out a way to play. If you want to be this kind of team you have to be this kind of team all the time: relentless”.

Was watching how many 50-50 balls we would win and comparing it to year's past. It's early and we haven't suffered any adversity, nor have we played a top team but the domination of teams we would have struggled against last year is all too apparent.

Interesting the manager had not visited the stadium before today. He speaks very well. I hope he can deliver the football he wants us to play. I want to love our manager again.

Whisper it quietly, but PEH was good today - that role reading the game, intercepting high up the pitch suits him much better

How many times did we have a dominant performance last year, and against which teams? Can barely remember one even from pre-season. Now it's three in three already (albeit with a loss where we arguably deserved more). Hugely encouraging.

Agreed, but also have to look at the relative quality of Shakhtar and two little obscure clubs :cautious:

Barca will be an interesting test.

He also punts the ball out of the defense under no pressure better than any player we have had in recent years...

Shakhtar is comfortably mid to upper mid-table prem level though, and we arguably deserved more against West Ham. As you say, Barca will be interesting but I wouldn't be surprised if we have an almost entirely fresh XI for that game.

You are right. Ange has said as much after the game today.
