It certainly doesn't appear to be, but unfortunately when players in our team take on a responsibility of doing something that they have shown time and time again that they're not capable of doing, or that is the weakest element of their game, you have to wonder why they persist in acts of almost wanton self-sabotage. Whilst it probably isn't deliberate, the frequency with which they do it by constantly showing and defaulting to their weakest hand does make you wonder.
They have been sitting back for 2-3 years. Will take a few of them longer than a month or so to get that out of the system. Even Ange has said there is till work to be done. Just be patient and give it time.

Shakhtar were standing around for a full five minutes before we appeared for the second half. I guess Ange was getting his point across.
Ange was out in the touch line. My dad and I were trying to work out what was going on.
Manager and staff on touchline/bench.
Players nowhere to be seen

Being realistic I accept that unfortunately it will, what is frustrating to a considerable degree is that in key defensive positions where these things manifested themselves to a greater extent haven't been addressed until much later in the window, which mean that crucially we will most probably be dropping points for a longer period than we perhaps should have been dropping them for in silly, basic, and very avoidable ways.

I was at the game yesterday and I saw many positives, but what is equally frustrating is that sadly the link up key play that Maddison offers Kane has come far to late in the day. That said we can't turn the clock back we can only move forward.

What I will say is we need to give the new back 4 with a new GK and the specific CB pairing time to gel and get used to each other, as well as the new way of playing. As fans we have to be patient, even if we are on the end of a battering or two or drop points in the early games.

Hojbjerg was great today so hope that was sarcasm? He broke up play often and set up the move for Kane's third.
He’s a terrible player. Jumps into and misses tackles exposing our back line time and again. So many goals conceded start from him.

We went to the game, had a thrillingly good day out with my dad and brother. They’re not big in to football like me, but even they said how much more enjoyable it was to watch than previous games I’ve taken them to.

I was impressed with Vicario, made a couple of good reflex shots, but also he’s very vocal. Could hear him yelling at the defence to push up.

And Ange: there was a moment when Vicario picked the ball up, and he was looking at who to pass/throw it to, but Ange was yelling at him ‘PLAY! PLAY!PLAY!!’ And we were quite far away from Ange, high up too, but he was very loud!

Deki got better, and Solomon was better than Son. I was surprised after it seeing the training ground vids, that none of our wingers got to the position of the byline cut back much. I thought that was going to be a key feature in all this?

Kane was more notably further forward in the second half, and got his rewards for it.
Good goal by Dane. Udogie was very good. Romero is an animal. Maddison silky, impressed with him.

Who was the half naked old guy in the hat, is he always there?

Stadium, as ever, is impressive. But, they ran out of Heineken at the bar closest to us, making us have that horrible ipa grapefruit juice. I think the worst thing about the stadium, and it’s a constant on my visits, is the staff. Always so rude, non helpful, and downright miserable.
The half-naked guy in the hat calls himself “The Rabbi” and is always there. He used to sit 5 rows in front of me and the joke soon paled; it was very irritating when every game he started standing on the steps and obscuring people’s views. He seemed to think we were there to watch him not support the team. Thank goodness he’s moved to the South Stand.

I actually saw a bloke in the South with a football rattle. I do not remember ever seeing that in my life before.

For years in the old stadium, shelf side, we had the “phantom rattler”. A couple of times each half he’d swing the rattle. The steward (Richard until he died then Daryl) was supposed to identify him, remove the rattle and warn him not to repeat the offence. But neither tried particularly hard to do so.
