Everyone and their Nan knows that Porro can’t defend, I don’t understand why he’s not being played back in his original position - on the wing. Clearly has talent but you’re starting a man down in defence with him at RB.

Could use KWP now in this system, although at Southampton he was best as inverted LWB for some reason. Hopefully Porro has similar work ethic to Royal. I remember at some point thinking Rose was worst player ever, so let's give him time.

It's a very oddly timed friendly with half our first team not involved against a strong Barca team in Spain, and we only flew there today.

Whose idea was it to play Barcelona less than a week before the start of the season? How can that be good for morale and confidence? Surely, the last game of pre season isn't the ideal time for this. You are meant to play Barca on some tour on a different continent and then come back to the Tottenham Stadium and beat an Italian CL team, who are a week or two behind in their preparations. This is like allowing your fiance to have a wedding night dress rehersal with John Holmes, whilst you watch.
