Even though it was just a "friendly" I really enjoyed the game and there were some good performances from our 2nd choice players which is great for the squad. Bissouma just seems to get better every time I see him and expect him to be a regular starter this season and Lo Celso has to stayed if only as a back up. He's now showing why we pain the money for him. I thought Richarlason was very poor, I've never been a real fan I think he tries hard and gets stuck in but very little end product for me. If we rely on him for goals after Kane goes I think we will be disopointed.

Oh and Barca wont go far in the CL with that defence of theirs. It's as bad as ours was last season.

Yeah you could definitely be into something.

Weird rating from Ali. Porro’s positioning was slightly off for their first goal but apart from that he was absolutely fine. Best defensive performance I’ve seen from him.

agree with this. He actually did some excellent 1 on 1 defending.
I thought he was actually poor going forward compared with regs but I’m sure he’ll improve.
My issue was (learning a he’s system though) is he tucked in on defence and I’m assuming is meant to follow the 10/striker who dropped deep to gather the ball to play the wingers in and he didn’t really do it he sort of moved towards them but didn’t and then was caught in no man’s land.

In this high press system either a Cb or a fullback needs to be on the striker and 10 stopping them gaining the ball and playing the wingers in

I see there has been some criticism of Vicario, but people should give him a chance and I would like to point out that Barca's keeper was definitely shaky.

It's going to take time for the whole defence to gel but the raw ingredients look good.

And people need to remember that back four last night won't or shouldn't be the regular back four in front of him. Those 5 need time and games to gel and build up an understanding. New system, new LB, new CB partnership and new GK. It is going to be shaky for a little bit to start with.

Noticed there was quite a bit of kicking the ball away and preventing free kicks being taken quickly.
Is this not going to be punished in European fixtures or is it just in the english leagues?
I know the European games don’t affect Tottenham.

FA and EFL I believe, plus this was a friendly which I think was taken into consideration when Romeu and Gavi should have been booked multiple times over.

Played some really good football despite playing with 10 men (Richarlison was MIA)

Looked like Richarlisson couldn't be arsed

Richarlison is still trying to pick up a fight than find spaces and look to score

Thought he did some excellent defensive work, winning the ball back several times and he helped create quite a few chances with his running off the ball taking two defenders out of the way - we don’t score either goal without him.

Watched it now after Spursview fail last night
Impressive for a second team.
Richarlison not impressive but works hard.
Lo Celso seems Keen to impress and therefore to stay
Now playing a club style which will help new players integrate
and subs and second teamers step up.
Hope Costo uses the subs bench better
than previous Managers.
Now to clear the dead-wood to help pay for new players.
Good performances from Sanchez, Skipp,Bissouma, Solomon and Lo Celso.
Vicario looks very similar to Hugo ,but with feet.
Great saves at times but doesn't cover his goal well.
We''ll see.

Could watch this stuff even without success.
Playing well is success and will bring success.
