He's always said dumb shit. People were just blind to it before. The guy threatened to walk out after a CL final and basically flirted with Man United for two years.
I didn't want to say this a few months ago while some of the guys on here were crooning over him, but I always got the feeling he was a bullshit merchant.

Don't get me wrong I loved the football he brought to the club, but as a person it always seemed like he was looking after his own image, rather than anything else.

It would have been the worst decision in the world getting him back here.

Him taking the Chelsea job tells you everything you need to know about his character. No surprise he is spouting shit again.

PSG and then Chelsea.... I mean come on, got to be a bit of a dick to represent two of the most morally bankrupt clubs around.

We are taking everything he says negatively to the extreme. My take is what he meant was its good for the players and coaches(means top money in transfer fees and huge salaries) which is the fact as so many left for Saudi clubs even the younger players.

In terms of backing he has instantly got everything he ever wanted from chelsea. We would/could never have backed him like this.

There are plenty of other teams he could have gone to. He chose Chelsea and has thus lost the right to any respect as far as I’m concerned. Just hope he is sacked soon as I’m sure his constant praising of Chelsea will get very grating.
He hasn’t lost any respect from me. He was never going to be able to come back here as that would have shown Levy to have completely pissed away all the years (which we have) since he was sacked. Levy was never going to that.

Anyway can’t change history, I am glad for what he did for us. We have a new manager now and it’s his turn to deal with the shadow of Levy f***ing everything up, hope he comes out better than the rest have.

I loved Poch, those times were some of the best football I’ve seen - i went each week knowing I’d be entertained and that we would most likely win - still cannot believe we didn’t win a single thing during that period though.

I would have been more than happy to have had him back and I have no doubt that if he had an offer from us and Chelsea on the table he would have chosen us in a heartbeat.

He did however piss me off a few times in the course of his tenure though. He could have shut down months and years of speculation about Real and Man U in a second if he wanted to - he could simply have said I am staying, I’m committed and it’s all bullshit. Klopp did exactly that when linked with Bayern - he said its complete bollox and that was that. Instead he’d come up with some bland word salad nonsense like “football is football”.

Instead Poch was happy to be linked with Man U and even seemed to enjoy it. It reached its nadir when we played Everton away (think we won 4-1) just after Mourinho got sacked and we had to listen to those two clowns Neville and Tyler go on and on and on about Poch going to Man U In a game that had F all to do with Man U

Th other thing that pissed me off was was him saying he might leave after the CL final - we were all on the high of our football lives, and that was a wholly unnecessary distraction.

Thanks for the memories of which there were many, but hope he gets sacked before Xmas - not due to any major personal resentment but because i simply cannot stand Chelsea and loath everything about them, especially their racist fans

Looking forward to seeing more of Poch this season. Serious footballing and leadership pedigree. Never really took an interest in Chelsea, but interested this year to see if they fare better with one of our ex managers than we ever did with one of theirs.
They would not.

I never warmed to him as a person as much as most of the fanbase. I think it was the playing Son at wingback in that game that turned me against him and I never got over it until that champions league run until the night before the final when he fucked it. I also think our planning in the run up to it was wrong. Liverpool were out there for a week acclimatising and we only turned up two days beforehand. Personally being in that stadium and dealing with the heat. It was so hot that evening that it must have affected the team and players. Liverpool dealt with all that better.

We'll see
I personally think we will but not in a good way.
He hasn't evolved since the 18 months before he left us (remember the fucking diamond formation?) and since then, he's been at PSG and that's it.
Chelsea are a mess and he's going to be up against it from the start, a certain section of their fanbase are already questioning him.

He's in a hiding to nothing at that club but all he's done since he left us is chase the money.
Since his book came out he thinks he's much better than he is.

I didn't want him back because he hadn't proved that he's improved on his flaws since he left, and he's still not showing any evolution.

Fuck Chelsea and fuck Poch too.
Yes, we had some great times together but people forget how bad we were later in his reign.

Let's see if he starts changing formation every week, he's bang in trouble and out of ideas if that happens.

I think you're talking out of your arse and when we get 86pts and a CL final again I'll be happy we found a Poch replacement.

He's up against at Chelsea right now, but I reckon he'll settle them down and find a way. Scoring goals is a huge concern for them though. All that money spent and not much threat there. Jackson's howler today will compound it. They'll be hoping nkunku can actually score whenever he's back. But that lack of firepower is really going to amplify every Chelsea problem for the first half of the season.

Well that's a great way to start engaging in conversation.
It's a bit like me saying to you that if you love Poch so much, why don't you fuck off and support Chelsea?!

I mean, are you denying that we were terrible for the last 18 months of his reign, apart from a rather streaky run to the CL final? The same final that he talked about leaving just before?

Or are you saying that he's proved his managerial ability since leaving us? In his short spell at the best club in France by a country (and financial) mile?

Because apart from the fact that you seem to have a blind love of Poch, I don't see any other valid counter points in what you're saying, apart from being a bit of an obtuse dick, tbh.
