Palace have been tactically spot on. Won all their individual battles, loads of tactical fouling and have played it long really well. And when you've got players miskicking it or missing the ball entirely then you've got a game on your hands.

Feels like some energy needs injecting, but tbh the whole team tonight has been a bit heavy, either under hitting or over hitting passes, poor touches.
Just need to refocus and there’s plenty of time to get this done.
Have to say, considering how many people rate the PL as the very best in the world, the standard of officiating is absolutely in the bin. Absolutely appalling refereeing performance.

It's a little thing, but Romero has this beautiful cushioned defensive header he does on opponent's long balls that always falls to Porro's feet. He's doing it 3/4 times a game at the moment and it's so satisfying to watch. And allows us to recycle possession quickly crucially too

Yea not having that and credit to what he’s done at palace, when you look at who he’s got out at the moment it’s no surprise he’s set up how he has and it’s also a compliment to how we’re playing.
We just need to find a way round their tactics which aren’t too dissimilar to us in the previous two seasons.
They should have had a couple of yellows by now though!

A typical Hodgson team performance frankly. I was castigated earlier for having the gall to suggest we may even do well to get a draw. With this ref, and if they sneak one, we will really have to conjure some magic (Johnson?!)

Have you forgotten the shot that Richarlison dragged wide and the volley that Maddison smashed into the stands after Richarlison nodded it back for him?

Nothing wrong with that. Especially after the mauling they got last week and their best creative players out injured.
The bigger problem is the ref letting them rake Spurs players achilles without a card.

So annoying only 2 mins of added time when their gk takes 20 seconds per kick, thought they were clamping down on that.
I think this is our biggest test so far. I don’t think this is a mentality test like it was against Sheff Utd and Luton, I think this is where we need to use our squad and the quality off the bench needs to make a difference.
