Such a fun post match interview with Ange, Neville and Carragher. Really nice seeing the players make a big deal of Bentancur in the celebrations. He's clearly really popular.

Carragher is talking fucking bollocks here post match completely dismissing us. You don't know if we don't have the quality or the squad. We haven't even gotten out of second gear yet! We stay fit we have an amazing chance at the title.

Have you seen how good Vicario, Romero, VDV, Udogie, and Porro (yes, one mistake today, also great defending on a chance after that misstep) are? We're not conceding unless WE are the ones making the mistakes - check back at our goals conceded. Teams aren't doing it to us. They aren't breaking us down.

Have you seen how many quality chances we create attacking? How much possession we have? How good we are off the ball in our pressing? Palace were organized here at their park, but we were well on top the whole match and our quality showed.

Our midfield has so much quality in it and so much depth. We're fucking in with a shout and it is scaring all of them.

We need to stick out chest out as supporters. It's a long old season and we may not do it, but the truth that they don't want to admit is we have just a good a chance as any of the other boys.
Happy for them to write us off as long as possible.

The more the merrier.

PEH's form and Lolo beginning his way back eases the midfield worries hugely, especially in Jan.

Thought Hojbjerg was good when he came on. Happy for him.
That was kind of Ange's point after the last match - Hojbjerg has been good all season, it's just been limited minutes because Bissouma is better. PEH has been the consummate pro though - always prepared and ready to give his best when called upon.

Ange on at the mo on sky sports: two little school boys in Neville and Carragher trying to sledge Ange about copying Pep 😂 Neville said even I tried (in reference to his flop at Valencia). Ange in response: how did that go?! Then departs saying I’ll just go watch Man City. What a guy. As an Aussie gives it back and better too. We are so lucky to have him!
I actually laughed out loud. Absolute top quality banter moment, that!

I think his hand caused the ball to line up the shot perfectly, without that hand touch i’m not sure he can get the ball in position for that shot. Surprised they gave that goal.
Yes it's absolutely crystal clear that the ball changes direction to a more a more downward path after the contact with his arm. The shot would have been much harder with the ball travelling further to his left

It's stonewall and they show it repeatedly on super slow-mo as if they've also seen it. So what can the excuse possibly be ? That is not a clear and obvious error ? That's just stupid though because that would mean every time we get a handball in the area by a defender that the ref hasn't seen because it was impossibly fast then we'd also do nothing right ?

Absolute gold wasn’t it. 👌 Every fan will be so jealous we have him and this team.

The first four clips from behind the goal line ( the best angle ) looked obvious handball .. the other s 50/50 but they never went back to the first angles which were conclusive.
Weird
Even from the worst angle they showed, I could see the ball suddenly die as it passed (touched) his arm. It actually looked more obvious in real time than slow motion, as the ball's sudden loss of momentum is more apparent.

Had a bit of a shit day today and the result cheered me up somewhat. Been a very good start from the boys. Bigger challenges to come but how nice is it to see us capitalise on our rivals playing later. Feels like another mini hurdle that we have started to get our head around.
