The fact that other teams fans (whose teams were not playing) are wanking themselves to death over our loss is amusing. Shows how much of a threat we are to them that they have to pray on our downfall instead of concentrating on winning themselves. Its a loser mentality and im so proud that we cause this much dislike from them.

Are they? Perhaps rejoin him at the reds and injuries but I think many will think Blimey that’s not the Spurs we know.

I'm old enough to remember (4 whole months ago) when we'd be lucky to finish mid-table according to most of them.

I can live with them ruling us out of a title challenge tbh.

To be fair to him, even Neville said similar during the game.
Something along the lines that Spurs have been known as being flakey but this is far from a flakey performance.
The grit and fight we showed tonight will make a lot of people sit up and take notice.
We don't know when we're beaten anymore, we're going to keep trying to win til the very end and I'm here for that.

Not the reaction on twitter and youtube. Liverpool fans are acting as if this is justice for them, Arsenal are thanking Chelsea and laughing etc. They were waiting on this due to the fear in them.

That is completely typical of the Liverpool fanbase. That desperate need to make this about themselves and reinforce their status as the wronged party here, in a game that didn't involve them, is in no way surprising. Like I said, it is pathological. Grotesque from top to bottom.

Best part is the fans that jumped on the bandwagon there, commenting with various tired memes and whatnot being immediately corrected and then either slinking off or doubling down.

  • Anyone who watched that interview of him post-match where he says we’d have played that way with 5 men as that’s who are - we will always have a go as long as I’m here - and doesn’t think the players and fans are fecking buzzing about it is seriously not looking at the bigger picture. The game was over when they went down to 9 - the way they played afterward means they made something from the defeat.
  • Loved his interview there. Took all the ref/var decisions on the chin which was a breath of fresh air compared to crying ****s like Arteta and Klopp
  • I remember Pep in his first season, insistent on playing his own way, even after embarrassing losses to Chelsea and Everton.
It's more than trying to just win the next game.
  • The crowd(fans) gave the team a standing ovation with the loss.
  • Ange plays the same way regardless. That’s his strength and his weakness. It’s why watching them under him is going to be so fascinating.
  • people didnt like that Ange/Spurs were getting praise and now use this moment as a way to cope with that. Spurs isnt expected to win the league or anything really... atleast this way their fans will have fun watching their games. Manchester United isnt likely to win anything either but it also isnt really that much fun to watch.
  • Some mad opinions on here, spurs nearly came away with a draw whilst sticking to their defined way of playing. Seems some are happy with the tumescent nothingy dross ten hag is serving up
  • I really like him.
I'd take him at United in a heartbeat.

Arsenal Mania
  • Glad they’re finally beaten, but they can be proud of that second half performance
  • Sp**s are going to need a miracle in the next few weeks. Van De Ven with a hamstring injury, Romero suspended, Udogie suspended, Maddison injured. Defensively they are going to be in all sorts of trouble, but guaranteed they will still play the high line, and I like it.
  • They went for the moral victory there, reminded me of a team I liked
  • Ange on fraud watch? What kind of manager plays such a high line with Dier against some of the fastest players in the league
  • In terms of spirit, yes. In terms of defensive tactics....not so much.

If Chelsea weren't **** they would have scored plenty more. Imagine Man City against that high line. Even Eddie would have got another 4 or 5 goals the tactics Sp**s played with 9.
Well, you have to dare to do. Their spirit carved out three very good chances for them. With nine men, that’s impressive.
  • They were idiotic today but dear me how I wish we attacked like spuds.
Artetaball, despite the results, is just pure suffering. Can only be jealous of that obese Aussie bastard.
  • They attack very well, but they ain't defending. It is all about balance. It is a **** to attack all the time, and they are punished because of that.
Okay bro spuds had more chances with 9 men than we did with 11, against Chelsea.
There is no balance we are just sh1t both in attack and defense as we conceded 2 goals vs Chelsea(could have been more)
  • Ange making excuses. Confirmed fat loser. Let the decent bloke narrative die now please.
  • Man he is pathetic... It will be cute ar first but he wont last long here
  • Ange nearly snapped at the Sky reporter. 🤣 The nice guy persona is dead.
  • Man thinks he's still in the dingo league. City might win the league on the goal difference from playing this melt twice
  • Why? He is doing well, still above us with a team that finished 8th with Kane.
He shows more courage than our manager, close to getting it back to 2-2 with 2 men down and Sanchez and Dier playing a high line in defence. Basically everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I personally like managers who have balls and are willing to stick to their vision, we used to have one like that for 20 years.
  • As much as I hate Spuds you are spot on.
You have to give credits to them for tonight's will and passion they showed.
One of the reasons we all loved Wenger was he sticked to his gameplan no matter what he kept playing offensive football even though it was suicidal(vs big clubs eg Bayern).
  • Wenger would go to current City and try to attack. Like Ange will in few weeks.
  • I’m also seeing Sp**s fans talk about Ange showing “class” with his refereeing comments, despite getting booked for dissent.
I guess Sp**s fans will use anything and everything in the name of tribalism and rivalry. Instead of seeing a serious, broader problem in the game. (SA Gunner)
  • And can we take a moment to honour the world class, “clear of Saliba” Christian Romero please? (SA Gunner)

Wait, so when we’re doing well I can come in here and inject insults like heroin, the second we lose but show our grit we get some praise? We’re living in a simulation lads.

  • Very impressed with Postecogulou , he is down to earth and doesnt give any shrift to the media's bullshit questions , most ex-Celtic managers flatter to decieve when they move on , but this guy looks like he knows what he is doing. Any manager that can turn Spuds into a high pressing fighting machine deserves all the credit , Spuds have always played good football but have also always lacked character when it mattered , Postecogolou is changing that.
I really like him even if his slow defenders were too far up the pitch especially when down to 9. He's very positive and his teams clearly want to play his liberated style of football. As you say down to earth which isn't a trait found often at Tottenham. He's wasted on Tottenham but he may get top 5 with them if backed in January.
  • His high line tactic was genius
  • Don't celebrate too much.
Were bound to shafted when we play them.
  • I bet he doesn't do it against us.
  • Nightmare game for Spurs, Madison and VdV out for a few games. Thats their title challenge as good as over.
  • Romero has had 4 red cards in 70 odd games since he came to Spurs. He's a liability.
  • Look a half decent team, as long as they piss Arsenal off I will be more than happy.
  • Postecoglu was so calm and collected. Far more resilient than the mad arse down Seven Sisters Road.
he will have smashed all the plates in the dressing room afterwards
  • If Spurs keep their full complement on the pitch, they win that game.
  • Fucking interviewer trying to force the Spurs manager to slag the ref and var off, good on him for not falling for it
  • Like the spud manager
    Fair play to him
  • No great lover of Tottenham but finding it quite difficult to dislike this manager.
  • What an extraordinary match but one with an utterly misleading score line!
  • One of the most bizarre games I've ever seen. Spurs were in total control and looked like they'd hammer Chelsea. Then the madness started....
  • Have to say though that Spurs did well with 9 men and the crowd was fantastic
