When I saw Ali Z's update saying "We expected to do..." my first thought was "WHY IS THIS IN THE PAST TENSE?"
Like, we expected it but now no longer do? I immediately panicked, then calmed down and realized I was reading too much into it.
I swear, days like this is why I need a bottle of whiskey in my file cabinet at work. Look what its done to me.

Yep. I remember it plainly. It was my first TW on SC and I was new to the whole ordeal. I was ON the site when the ITK came in about him and the place went bananas. Lovely moment, that.

Full back areas ridiculously weak. Assuming Eriksen going, no immediate improvement there. We are the same, marhinally better maybe . Needed a game changer.

Domino effect.
Lukaku’s position at Utd is untenable. Inter are in for him right now.
That gives Inter room to sell Icardi, who’s position is also untenable, and is wanted by Juve.
That gives Juve the replacement so they can sell Dybala, who they have made it clear is surplus to requirements.
Maybe that’s why the ITK is so varied, so many moving parts. But there is a clear intention there for all parties to buy and sell the players they want. Just got to wait for the pieces to fall into place.
Got PL deal sheet written all over, agreement on principle just prior to deadline, extension to iron out the fine details.
