And furthermore, does anyone really believe Levy is going to do major business when we'll get quoted insane prices for two reasons :

1) It's January
2) Everyone is aware of our predicament

These conditions go against every fibre in Levys's body ffs lol.

Personally I think we're being fed this in the hope that we calm our frustration in the interim.

absolutely spot on. The man is a deceitful weasel who will never spend what’s required and will also price is out of being sold unless we’re total shit.

I see, but the credit in the bank is due to Poch doing shit on a shoe string? So Levy see's that credit as his own making?
Your argument doesnt hold water. Levy has a long term plan, with the stadium etc the team was always going to suffer in the relative short term. Personally, I think the players at pochs disposal are simply not capable of the intensity anymore. You cant keep that level of physical conditioning year after year. He should, could, perhaps have introduced more academy players and more prem exposure as time went by. But Pochettino has worked relative miracles with his playing staff. The majority of the squad has always been overrated. It was about the sum of the parts and physical condition. Which it seems to me, with the volume of games, isnt sustainable. If you have mega training sessions thrown in for good measure. Thats my main criticism of poch, the lack of a plan b. But, when on form, a plan b was rarely needed. Poch has always been open about the need for a rebuild. Levy knows that too. The season is a write off, but it's only 1 or 2, which in the grand scheme is nothing. Ndombele, locelso and sessignon were just the start. Long term thinking in play.

We should have stuck with Ramos?

No as it was clear that he lost the dressing room, in the same way that Poch has judging by results and performances this year.

Yet Ramos is still the last person to win us some silverware. And if it weren't for him it would be Graham.

You think this current squad aren't good enough to beat the likes of Brighton and Watford ...

So depressing to think we were on a similar level to Liverpool just 2-3 years ago. They showed the ambition to strengthen their weak areas, we sat on our hands and are now seeing the inevitable result. Just depressing.

I've just had a look at the last time we finished above Liverpool (2017/18) season where we finished 3rd and Liverpool finished 4th) and found it very interesting to see that from that season on, the only two first team starters Liverpool have added are the goalkeeper Alisson and a DM in Fabinho. Pretty much everyone who is at the club who didn't finish above us that year, apart from those two now form the team many see as lightyears ahead of us.

Erm? Ok. If I miscommunicated, then my bad. They are underperforming, of course and yes, they should be beating those teams. But, the fatigue mentally as well as physically is there to see. Teams that have employed this system use a low average age to cope with the rigours, what I'm.saying is, they haven't been able to (for whatever reason) refresh the side ongoing. There has to be some leeway. My point anyway, is that levy wont pull the trigger for a while yet, as he knows it is a medium to long term turn around.

Did they have Robertson and VVD then? Can't remember if they signed after that season

Look we can go round in circles all day.

What I'm saying is, he isn't getting the most out of this group of players.

And its complete bollox to suggest that suddendly all these players arn't as good as they used to be.

Maybe a couple at most, but that still doesn't come close to explaining the huge drop off in collective performances over the last nine months.

Look it all down to a matter of opinion I suppose but to suggest it’s complete bollocks that these players are not as good as they used to be is laughable.
Dier, Toby, Jan, Rose, Alli, Eriksen are shadows of their former selfs and it’s not something that has happened over night

Current first team starters at Liverpool the last time we finished above them:

Alexander-Arnold
Van Dijk
Matip
Lovren
Gomez
Robertson
Henderson
Wijnaldum
Milner
Salah
Mane
Firmino
Origi

Literally the only 2 names we see consistent on their teamsheet since those days are Alisson and Fabinho.

While it's an opinion, it's not one I agree with.

They've not had the same issues though? Of injuries, contract rebellion and they invested heavily prior to those additions.

Come on rest is no excuse. Liverpool and city played midweek and served up a frantic display yesterday. Just another excuse.

He certainly needs to adapt to his situation better. But it was the same when he first started. I remember it well, he was forcing square pegs in round holes and it took a while to get where he wanted to be. Perhaps he should flex more now, but his system does work when the players click. There is clearly a problem with player mentality or something has gone on that's fucked up their heads. Personally, I have more of a problem with the players than the coach and Levy.

I'm struggling here to get this right here. If I want Levy/ENIC to leave or sell up, how do I go about it?

Do I call him all sorts of ****s and bastards and tell him to fuck off out of my club?
Or
Do I show some respect for his past achievements and say it in a way that conveys that?

From the Poch stuff I know which method is most popular but I'm hoping someone can help me out here and point me in the right direction..........

Physically, I am of a mature age and (some might say unusually for SC) my mental age (possibly) corresponds with that. Hope that helps.

Oh and to the BSoDL I'd just like to say, no, no, not the face.

PS: The grass isn't always greener, be careful what you wish for, don't want to do a Leeds and beware the bogeyman have all been considered and discarded............ I feel the grass is sometimes greener, wishing for better is OK, doing a 'Leeds' is not relevant any more and the bogeyman is actually quite a nice guy.

Anyway, I' m not sure which way to lean. Help meeeeeeeee

I think if Levy/ Enic were to sell, much as I hate saying it, the billionaire plaything route is the only way to go. There’s no point in Enic selling to anybody who wants to run the club sustainably because Enic are doing that about as well as is possible and it’s still not yielding results. If weget sold then it needs to be to owners similar to Liverpool’s, rather than Arsenal’s. This is the unknown.

This is a long term issue though. The current issue is that our season is in a tailspin, and in a way which could also affect future seasons if not remedied fast. Do we give a January war chest to a man who’s got us bottom of the league in points this calendar year, do we give it someone new, or do we stick with the current incumbent but give him squat and hope for a turnaround which currently seems unlikely.

My gut says it will be the latter. None of the three options is particularly appealing in reality. My hope is that against all odds Pochettino turns it around pre Christmas so that he justifies being given spending money in January but I just can’t see this happening.

Sorry mate what fatigue there was no tournament during the summer and we are only 12 games in I didn't see any fatigue issues with Liverpool yesterday.

What’s the point in wanting the best manager we’ve had since the 60s when the problem is the chairman though?

So let me understand your point:

"It's Levys fault that Poch has had us playing the worst football in nearly 20 years, has amassed 24 points from a possible 75, and rumours of key players wanting to leave because they don't like his methods. Also it's Levys fault that he spent £150m in the Summer (3rd highest of any team), to help get the team he wants, only for Poch to say it's a painful rebuild and we still have a long way to go?"

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think Levy is perfect by any means, however none of this is his fault, not even one single bit. There is no excuse for the football we have seen over the past year, there is no excuse for the ridiculous in match decisions, substitutions, lack of tactical awareness that we have seen, and there is no excuse for the sheer lack of effort being put in by the players. None of this can be influenced by the chairman, and is at the control of one man, and that is Poch.
