Been well documented that Jan wants to stay and Aurier is a liability and Wanyama is finished at the top level. Eriksen has stunk the place out for the best part of a year and Rose has seemingly lost what he once had. The issue for me are not the want away players per se as even without them we should still have enough to be beating the teams I mentioned.

if you are looking at a short term 2 or 3 year fix then Mourinho is your guy. If you are looking for longer project then NagelsMann is your guy. Or if you want to go balls deep and make a statement you go all out for Simeone. He would be my ultimate pick if I could choose.
What about Pochettino with money to spend?

The funny thing is Emery has actually won trophies in 2 different countries. I'd be much more inclined to stick with someone who has that kind of calibre over someone who hasn't won a single pot.
Pochettino is still a young manager and Tottenham has been his biggest job to date. It’s not like we’ve been prolific trophy winners in the past.

And we won't be in the future if we continue on the path we're heading.

And there's about a year difference between them btw.

hold on, all the experts in here keep saying Poch isn't coaching them well, and no good at tactics. Surely you need more than a day to pinpoint any weaknesses your next op has, and work on them.

we also played 3 games in 6 days which didn't help prepare, yet Sheff Utd had a full 7 days to turn up fresh. are you telling me we should have been as fresh as them?
I think it’s gone past the not coaching properly to the fact that none of them want him to be in the dug out anymore.

It's not on Lighty.
You should start one of those online petitions and list all the excuses, and demand the match be replayed.

If this rebuild is to happen then we can't fuck about until deadline day. Get those deals in place now. Fuck the cost, it'll be far worse if we have to go the whole season with this squad if we aren't changing the manager

No point as Poch takes months to integrate most signings.

Anyone pinning their hopes on January business is clutching at straws imo...I mean, who are these players that are going to turn our season around who will also be magically available in January anyway?

Well if the stadium atmosphere turns then Levy will have no choice. Because he really will start to think from a business perspective.

We lose to WH and have a crap performance in the next home game then I'm sure we'll hear sections boo.

there were boos on Saturday at the final whistle. Just not the whole crowd.

What about Pochettino with money to spend?

Sheffield United starting Xi cost £20m ours was £270m plus Kane. They outplayed us yes outplayed us in every department. Passing fight tactics fitness desire strength. Got f all to do with transfer spending. Personally think the whole club got complacent. Got to a CL final and a big stadium thought we were big shots. Actually forgot you have to put the work in training and on the pitch not just rock up.

Oh by the way Pochettino has net* spent more than Klopp.

*And yes net spend is relevant because they sold one of their best players.

Absolute bizarre that no one in the press is putting on any pressure for Poch's head. I have no fucking clue.
Must be because we're a "small" club in the media and the happy-writers is all fine with the situation. Mental.

Media narrative mate, it's created to sell papers, we're now in a state of flux, not challenging the the established, there is no story in this. Spurs are what they 'narrate' we are.

I think that definitely plays a part in it.

Plus even though Sheffield United has more “rest” than us (rest here equals training and preparation) we should have more than enough to beat them. We’ve better players, who by their nature should be fitter and need less preparation. They’re meant to be at the top of their games. It’s just another excuse. Just like Poch already getting his excuses in ahead of the West Ham game that he won’t have enough time before the match with his players. It’s exactly the same for Pellegrini. Surely Levy/Lewis dont believe that, he’s been in the game far too long?

This is beautiful, a work of art. For pretty much several years now the media have supposedly had it in for us, they have been driven by an anti Spurs agenda, but actually, when push comes to shove, they don't.

JJ so calm, and he's always been close to the top table
Well, not diminishing his ITK, but if I'm not mistaken, I do believe already years have passed since he was in fact actually on the inside of the club. I have no reason to doubt the content, validity and intent of his posts and I do encourage appreciation for them as before. I'm just simply pointing out that there has been tangible changes.

And in general, as far as a manager's status goes, none of us can really say that we know what will happen. Many posts are along the lines of "if he is not gone by event X, he isn't going", but that's not really how those things work. Of course the official part line is that the manager isn't going anywhere until he's gone.

Us being shit doesn't make print.

Us selling/not selling our best players does - yet now we should have moved those players who want out earlier ... Really?

We need to think like a big club and back our manager - we back our manager but now?

It's easy to sit there and cherry pick your arguments about the media and fans views in an ivory tower, we're not news now.

Where are all the links to those big clubs Poch could do wonders for now then?

Your attitude on here is tiresome some times.
