He’s nasty as he’s sparking reactions due to awful tackles. I’d prefer someone that wins the ball without wrecking the opposition player whilst doing it. N’didi isn’t a “nasty” player, nor is Kante. Our issue is that we need someone who can sit deep and defend positionally. Not someone who can just tackle. That’s what sets Kante and Ndidi apart from the rest.

Lerma would be a huge no for me. What else would he offer other than being able to tackle? Football has progressed from requiring just a defensive mid. There’s very few of them and teams demand players that are dynamic and can provide a range of roles in a team. Wasn’t too long ago Dier was hounded for playing in midfield as he could only tackle.
Fair point about tackling.. Look give me a Fabian Ruiz type any day but they cost big money.. Lerma isn't bad on the ball & covers the ground exceptionally quick so he's more than a Vinny Jones type thug.. I think he'd add balance to midfield & improve us defensively at an affordable price

don’t get me wrong I hope we can do better in exactly the mould of the DM you describe.

this would provide a screen behind GLC and TND

Winks, Gedson and Sissy off the bench

Whos the ideal signing?

Think PEH coming in would spell the end for Tanguy which I’d be gutted about
With you on that Tanquy is a really clever footballer once he gets to pace of PL we have a diamond

robertson and maguire played for hull when they relegated. aarons, lewis and godfrey are linked to big moves. overall poor performance of a team does not necessarily apply to individuals imo
You measure a player by his impact and performances. Lerma is nothing special, IMO. Hes at his level

Wouldn't mind a punt on Ibrahim Sangare DM (Toulouse)

They have just been relegated, and he only has one year left on his contract. Bargain perhaps. o_O

Still a bit raw, but certainly seems to have enough about him. 6' 3" tall, athletic, with the ability to pass, dribble and retain possession.

Everton, Newcastle and Le Arse previously linked supposedly.

Few snippets for those interested.

Heading makes me chuckle, but worth a read. ;)

Type of deal we should be looking at as it would be cheap enough for Levy while also getting a player that fits the Mourinho mould. A 433 with

--GLC ---- Tanguy
----- Sangare----

has all bases covered and given that all three speak french would take no time getting up to speed.

If the media is to be believed one of our RB targets Semedo is apparently off to Juve for €25m plus Pjanic and De Sciglio.... I know Pjanic is 30 but €25m plus those two puts the Semedo value at circa €60-80m... laughable for an underperforming squad player.

Thats why its bollocks. Just like our alleged swap deal Aurier plus cash for Alex Sandro. The media are just rehashing stories or completely making up rumours as there is nothing to talk about atm

Ryan Fraser sets sights on Tottenham transfer as he prepares for Bournemouth exit

EXCLUSIVE: Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser will become a free agent in a matter of weeks with Tottenham now a serious contender for his signature despite previous interest from Arsenal

Ryan Fraser is setting his sights on a free transfer to Tottenham.

Bournemouth winger Fraser, 26, will become a free agent on June 30 and one of the most sought after players in the window because of the current financial climate.

Tottenham have now emerged as serious candidates after previous links with Arsenal and Liverpool and Spurs appear to be ready to step in with an offer.

Scotland international Fraser is understood to be interested in the Spurs link and they could offer him a big step up and move to a club pushing for the Champions League places.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is already planning for next season knowing that funds will be very limited, any deals may have to be free transfers, loans or swaps.

Mourinho is relishing the challenge as Spurs look around and trying to reshape the squad on a budget and that is why Fraser is appealing to several clubs.

Fraser provided 14 assists last season for Bournemouth, managed four before lockdown but emerged as one of the most consistent providers in the top flight.

Bournemouth have not been able to tie him down to a new deal and now expect to lose him for nothing but hope he will sign up to a new extension.

Do we know what will happen if a player refuses a contract extension if their contract ends 30th of June and joins another club?

I guess they can't play as not registered, but then you can sign players on free at any time during the season?
