Banter when he joins Poch at Newcastle or some shit

Yeah, almost everybody in the league, apart from Liverpool and City, will take a look at him.

We can offer him a coach that knows how he does his business, but United, Chelsea and Newcastle will offer him more money. I guess it's easier to do his job with more money.

Ryan Fraser sets sights on Tottenham transfer as he prepares for Bournemouth exit

EXCLUSIVE: Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser will become a free agent in a matter of weeks with Tottenham now a serious contender for his signature despite previous interest from Arsenal

Ryan Fraser is setting his sights on a free transfer to Tottenham.

Bournemouth winger Fraser, 26, will become a free agent on June 30 and one of the most sought after players in the window because of the current financial climate.

Tottenham have now emerged as serious candidates after previous links with Arsenal and Liverpool and Spurs appear to be ready to step in with an offer.

Scotland international Fraser is understood to be interested in the Spurs link and they could offer him a big step up and move to a club pushing for the Champions League places.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is already planning for next season knowing that funds will be very limited, any deals may have to be free transfers, loans or swaps.

Mourinho is relishing the challenge as Spurs look around and trying to reshape the squad on a budget and that is why Fraser is appealing to several clubs.

Fraser provided 14 assists last season for Bournemouth, managed four before lockdown but emerged as one of the most consistent providers in the top flight.

Bournemouth have not been able to tie him down to a new deal and now expect to lose him for nothing but hope he will sign up to a new extension.

The Fraser stories seem very one sided. I haven’t read one that says we are actually interested. Actually, nothing more would scream a return to our averageness than signing him.

In a mediocre Bournemouth team, Fraser is a player who has consistently stood above the rest in creating big chances. I'm not saying he should be a guaranteed starter for us, but I don't see why we should be against a player wanting to join us when he could come in and provide some good squad competition, much like Shaqiri was a cheap squad option for Liverpool.

Says the media... we’ve no idea what the club will do in terms of transfers. I like how they point out the club with the best financials is broke yet they don’t highlight every other club that’s most definitely in the shit.

Also if the PL returns then yes sure we're going to be loosing out on match day revenue as well as other stadium events, but the bulk of our revenue (TV money) will still be incoming.

IF (it's a reasonably big if) we qualify for CL next season (by getting 5th place and assume that City will take the 1 season ban) then suddenly our finances don't look to be so bad.

Apparently Luis Campos has asked to leave Lille. It's all over French media.

You just know if he comes here it will end up being acrimonious with Lille and they will vow not to sell us any of their players. You can see it a mile off. I mean that’s if people care about signing any of their players anyway

I know he’s not in a position we need right now but the only player I want is Eze

Yeah I think he’s got massive potential as well. I even think he could play deeper. He’s got similar qualities on the ball to Grealish/Dembele who were able to drop deeper and excel. Fairly strong with a low centre of gravity but still keeps his head up while running with the ball.

Another reason on top of him not being great is that he isn’t home grown.

I'd rather have the man that found the Lille players than the opportunity to buy from Lille, especially for the prices that Osimhen and others are being valued at.

Although both would be great (y)

I personally really like the Fraser and Hojbjerg links, these are the types of signings that got us to a good position in the first instance, and abandoning these types of signings had in my opinion contributed to our regression. Good, premier league proven players who fit a current need in our side, good ages too.

Hojbjerg, from the little I’ve seen but also from everything I’ve read, is a natural leader, a determined presser, a good reader of the game, and a simple but decisive passer. Additionally, he’s strong, something you can’t really attribute to any of our current CM options other than Sissoko, who we know shouldn’t be first choice for other reasons. What I’ve both seen and read reminds me of a young Khedira (who was key in midfield for Mourinho at Madrid and brought the best out of Xabi Alonso who could focus more on creating). He’d be a really good foil for Lo Celso in a two, or Lo Celso and Ndombele/ Winks in a three, depending what way Mourinho goes. Unspectacular, but clever, signing who would give our midfield balance again.

Fraser is a good age, premier league proven player who has been a mainstay in a creative, attacking side, their playmaker in chief. He’s effective on either flank, quick and has a great set piece on him. Even if he’s not a nailed on started, he’s a great option to have to rotate in for Son and Bergwijn, who I expected to be our first choices out wide, more consistent (albeit less spectacular) than Lucas and far better output (as well as more fitness reliable) than Lamela. Also takes a lovely set piece. We need players who can provide a reliable level of quality even if they’re not nailed on starters. On a free it’s a no brainier in my opinion.

Both signings improve us in my opinions. Yes, we need at a new full back on either side and someone competent enough to rotate in for Harry, but we shouldn’t neglect strengthening any area where it is viable.

They got too expensive. The value wasn’t there at all.

Just look at Sissoko, not a 30mil player.

Have a friend involved at Ipswich. Raved about Fraser's work ethic / training when on loan there. One of the best pros he come across.

Didn’t we sign Wanyama for £12m the same summer we bought Sissoko?

I think it has more to do with a a devolution in our scouting capabilities following the departure of Paul Mitchell, who from December 2016 ceased to have any involvement until his contract expired and he was free to join Leipzig. Look at what’s happened to them since...

And for what it’s worth, even if Sissoko hasn’t been what we’d have liked him to be when we bought him, £30m for a 26 year old premier league proven midfielder who has just starred for France at the recent European championship and was their best player in the final is hardly outlandish, is it?

We did get Wanyama that summer, who had a year left on his deal and wasn't viewed very highly at that point. I mean, you could look back at that time and I don't think any of us were thrilled at that price and the player (regarding Sissoko). National teams are vastly different than club anyways.

I don't buy the notion that we've fallen off because we don't buy premier league proven players anymore because no one else is doing that. Relegation teams & the championship are where to buy English talent. I genuinely can't think of a single player at any of the other top 6 that was an awesome signing from within the premier league (that wasn't being relegated) and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Not necessarily as we were told he was Mourinho‘s favoured player and was willing to wait until the summer instead of signing a desperately needed striker in Jan. Osimhen is competent as both a wide forward and as a striker.

We’ve been crying out for a technical player that can play wide forward or striker for last couple of years so would be jolly nice if we could get this chap.

Yeah I know we have Son but still means we’re thrashing both him and Kane, although with Bergeijn in the mix that does allow us to rest Son at times too now.

Really hope Jose gets the backing he needs and the players he needs, although given our recent transfer history I’m not too optimistic as been burnt too many times now...

Bergwijn for me has/shown all the talent required to nail down the RW spot. But Osimhen would be a fantastic addition and would get a ton of game time.
