Also, I know it's not exactly high science, but FIFA has Skriniar just a smidge faster than Dias. You'd hope with something as measurable as speed they'd be at least close.

Both, though, aren't rated as particularly quick

He's exactly what we need. Dominance in the box. Just look at the pathetic goals we conceed when Dier is playing and it will be clear. Skrinniar and the mourinho system is a match made in heaven

They won't play him as he doesn't suit their system....there's no way they'll get 60 million lol.

Huge bargaining power for Levy there. He's an expendable asset as far as they're concerned privately, guaranteed.

Levy smells a bargain I'd say.

He’d literally be ideal for a Mourinho back 4. Let him play on the front foot and attack the ball and play it into midfield and have Sanchez sweep in behind using his pace. Think that would be the makings of a serious defence.

It's interesting isn't it. For me I'm ecstatic with our business so far. I also personally think we have enough forwards to cope without a traditional number 9 if we were to be a bit more tactically flexible but it seems Jose is absolutely determined to get a number 9 and I doubt he's going to be happy that we spent money elsewhere if we don't also land him a number 9 despite the fantastic signings we've made.

Would be a top signing, exactly what we need! After watching the last 3 games this season, we clearly lack a commanding CB. Him and striker would be such a good window

Interesting that in Romano latest tweet

He mentions Milik and Dias. If I'm to put my tin foil hat on and bring out Smoke Screen TM for a minute. I wonder if we're maybe applying a bit of pressure on Benfica trying to get them to lower the fees by getting some talk going about these two. Alternatively we may just be after these 2 :LOL:

Dias or Skriniar - Dias is better
But Skrniar or Dier/Sanchez/CurrentToby - Skriniar is better

It is really encouraging we are linked to couple of good young CBs. Now, we should get the business done quickly

Exactly how I see it also, I think if you had Sanchez or Tanganga next to him to cover the pace aspect, we should be alright.

I was on Dias, but now Skriniar if we can do it.

Reason being is i believe Skriniar is the better player.

Although i could handle either.

Window is a 10/10 with either of the CBs and honestly any striker not named Deeney. Genuinely best window since I started supporting. Numbers check, positions of need check, quality check. Levy means business.

Skriniar and Tanganga would be a pairing I'd love to see, but Sanchez would be fantastic next to him too.

I think there's more chance of getting Skriniar and Milik for lower fees than Vinicius and Dias.

If Benfica sell they have to sell high otherwise their fans will fume.

Milik is already out the door - and his contract is out in June - whereas Skriniar isn't wanted by Conte.

Much more chance of getting a favourable deal in Italy.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but in the Telegraph article about Dele to PSG on loan it was mentioned that Conte loves Dele but Inter couldn't even afford a loan. Perhaps the prospect of moving Dele to Inter in some way has led to us going back in for Skriniar
