I have a feeling there was an incident probably one where Tanguy snapped and went back at Mourinho. I would imagine some people in the club may have seen him react how they would perceive as badly in that instant to Mourinho but given Tanguy came across as shy and quiet in the doc and we already know that is something Mourinho doesn't like its probably exactly the fight Mourinho's been wanting and waiting to see from him.

I have a feeling that Jose is looking to ruffle some feathers in order to get both TN and Dele fired up.

There was a point in the game you could hear Jose asking tanguy from the sidelines if he could play the full 90 when making up his mind about his subs and tanguy obviously told him he could do the 90. Which I'm sure Jose was happy to hear. He wants players to make themselves available and work hard to give more when he needs it from them.

Wow - nothing like getting into a spat with a few posters and then accusing everyone of being racist. Total overreaction and very irresponsible. Maybe you should have a good look at yourself before casting aspersions on others.
He did not accuse anyone of being racist. Read his post again

The way I see it he had 2 choices.

1. Listen to levy again bang on about his O levels / big dave stealing his money at the Uni bar

or

2. Knuckle down and avoid the above. Clearly he went no 2

He's a little like Yaya Toure, in that he looks out on his feet ten minutes in but still has a lot left in the tank, from the last game he looked fitter when it went on. Bizarre, but the closest player i can compare him with. Great to see him complete 90, let's hope he really pushes on now and finds some love for the club.

Redemption arc incoming.

Fair play though. Jose giving big praise to Tanguy is going to make things a lot easier for both of them.

He fixed his issues after his Guingamp days and rebuilt himself at Amiens before going on to be a star at Lyon both domestically and in Europe. This perseverance shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, its just the question as why he needs to be on the brink of disaster for him to fix up. He's a fighter, and his career path shows it. That's why I believe he will be something really special here, not forgetting his immense talent.

I’ve had 4 pints and a bottle of wine so maybe what I am about to say will be a misjudgement:

I totally love Ndombele’s skill set and admire his talent.

HOWEVER...

Something keeps eating away at me telling me he will never become the player we know he could be. It feels like he will either never be fit enough or never be mentally strong enough.

I truly hope I am wrong.

Now for another bottle of wine...

Surely it was Levy’s story about him being a dumb-dumb in school.

I think he thought fuck me this sad little man with his A levels story, I need to really sort my shit as I don't want to ever sit through another one of these.

before I get crucified, I don't think Levy is a sad little man

At first glance, our fixture schedule looked/looks like a nightmare, but I get the feeling that it has been of some benefit to a few of our players (Ndombers, Kane, Hoijberg, to name a few) insofar as they may be getting fitter quicker by playing matches rather than training.

I have been on the beverages too!

I have turned after seeing amazon doc and now happy to give him time to come good.

It seems like he could be integral to our success and him firing on all cylinders with Mr Bale arouses excitement!

Sounds like there’s none too subtle message from Mourinho for one or two others in the squad too.
Yep. Agree. using Tanguy example of knuckling down, sans ego, to earn his way back into the team. Just flitting along, expecting to be picked on prior performances is a recipe for deprecation. You have to be honest with yourself and find that inner mettle to push yourself further. Glad to see TN is showing some signs of heading in that direction... or at least a willingness and drive to prove he belongs. Whereas it feels like Dele in particular is struggling to find a way past a lack of confidence. Or, he disagrees with how the boss sees him and will do as he pleases.
But this horseshit narrative about Jose being harsh on Dele is crap. Dele has been regressing for two years.
