Any idea why there are so few games this weekend?

I think it's normal at this time of year. They squeeze in games over the holiday period because traditionally January has frozen pitches and postponements. They've just never changed the schedule.

It’s the same the following weekend - I assume it is a winter break but split so
there are some games on each week
Exactly this, rather than have a full winter break with no football at all. This approach allows games to still be aired whilst also allowing teams a mini mid-season break.

Half the teams play 'matchday 21' this weekend while the other half play 'matchday 21' next weekend

I wonder if we are possibly moving to having a sort of winter break from the UK. The games will still be played but in warmer countries ? UAE ? Saudi ?

One of the better decisions from the Premier League in years.

I hope not, can you imagine the fallout if a team like Liverpool lost out on the league title by 1pt and they just happen to have lost / drawn a game in UAE that would have typically been a home game.

I don't doubt many owners would be keen to explore increased income opportunities but the backlash from fans would be insane. Would the club would be happy to give us a 1/19th refund on season tickets for the missed game (or fly the fans out  )

no way is that a foul.

Burnley keeper has run into the Luton striker and dived.
Looked like he backed into the goalie on purpose imo. Was a really subjeClive decision though, and 99 times out of 100 a ref usually gives a foul when someone makes that much contact with a keeper.

Some people are of a mind that any touch on the keeper is a (un) written rule and a foul
It isn't, and that is not a foul.

Correct decision. The keeper could have gone around but assumed he'd get the soft foul because keepers usually get an absurd level of protection. He assumed wrong.
