They're crying, literally, proper tears about someone leaving.

Ok, he's been huge for their club and done everything, but, is it cold of me to think adults crying over someone leaving their club is a bit weird.

The last time I cried over someone leaving Spurs was when Ginola left Spurs and I was 10.

when I switched on the radio earlier and was half way through the calls I had to quickly check that he hadn’t died suddenly. I get that it’s big news but bloody hell talk about an over reaction to someone leaving their job. You can gaurantee that Pep will not get the same coverage when he gets thrown in jail, sorry leaves for a new challenge.

Let people feel how they want to feel. If, say Ange, won similar in 8 years with us and he left I would feel emotional. I hate this notion that people cannot have emotions for something. We're humans, not robots.

Quite funny when it's coming from Spurs MENTAL.

Emotional yeah, but grown ups crying over someone leaving? Seriously? Football is a game, he hasn't died.

It is however when people were saying we are miles away and saying Newcastle had overtaken us, I was saying that things change very fast in football.

We could, and I hope not, just as quickly become a mess again.

We'll probably have another dip soon enough since it's very early days, but no way we're going back to how we were with Conte and Mourinho. That was like the dark ages.

Got a feeling there might be a health issue at the root of this sudden announcement whether it be with him or his wife.
Seen more than one of these about the place. Surely if the guy says that he's just tired and can't keep going again and again, and that he just wanted to be honest with their fans...he's not going to be lying about it? Otherwise why just admit that you're out of energy for it and say that you're being honest with them?

He's been there what, 9 years? He's been a great servant to LFC. I can only respect what he's achieved there and hope Ange can emulate that here. He's been a great addition to top flight English football. Gave Pep a real run for his money at times at a fraction of the cost.

He's brought lots of entertainment on and off the pitch. I wish him well in whatever endeavours he pursues.

Respect

Couple of obsversations….

There will be a Sky/Talksport love in with Liverpool from now on in every game. Even if we miraculously win the league, the studios will be more interested in Klopp’s last game.

When SAF announced mid season that he would be quitting Man U at the end of the season in 2002, Utd turned to shit and he had to do a U-turn a month later and they won the league and he stayed on for another 10 years. I wouldn’t completely rule a U-turn out….

In that Klopp video, he still manages to bring out the whole Liverpool victim mentality into his speech. Something along the lines of ‘Everyone will use this against us and laugh about it but we’ve been through tough times together and you have been through tougher times before me, we’ll get through it’ Dude bringing Hillsborough into his leaving vid.

They can feel how they like about it, but there'll be a cold day in hell when we can't laugh at the sad fuckers.
IMO adults should cry about things that fucking matter...and in the grand scheme of things a manager leaving a football club really doesn't matter.

If anyone can link to some clips with adult scousers crying I'd love a good laugh.

Nah I believe him when he says he's knackered - obviously both he and Guardiola put a lot of work in but whilst for Pep I think it's an obsession that takes over his whole life, for Klopp it seems more like something he just happens to be really good at. Plus he's had his first grandkids and never really had time to mourn losing his mother; I think he genuinely needs a break. Plus he loves the club, I don't think he'd lie about the reason for leaving.

Think that's why I have more time for him than many here, besides personal allegiances (lived in Liverpool for about a year and really grew to love the city) - he seems like a human being with his teams being an extension of that, whereas Guardiola and City seem more like robots.
Good post. I've never understood the vitriol heaped on him, he fundamentally is a decent bloke, despite his comedy moaning/ sometimes tiresome rants that ALL top managers do sometimes.

I've also lived in Liverpool, several of my best mates are Liverpool fans and my wife is a Scouser (though a Blue) and the lazy stereotypes and hatred of the city perpetuated by some one here don't sit well with me at all-and I'm still a die hard Essex boy at heart despite living in cities up North since 1997.

Klopp has achieved great things at Liverpool and done a fantastic job -will be very big boots to fill. Hopefully we can take advantage of any transitional years they have under a new manager, in addition clearly Salah will be off in the summer too.
