Has pace , experienced, gets some great crosses in from the left even though naturally right footed , fits in the way Ange wants to play, seems to be very popular in the squad, has to be a valuable asset with the extra games next season.

Disagree - any 21yo who has Werner’s current ability would be out of our price range.

But I also think the thought is to bring in a veteran presence like Werner, and a higher upside player - it’s not one or the other.
Palmer and Johnson were both within our price range this summer, so was Doku, and Trossard in the previous window.

All are better players than Werner.

Shouldn’t sign. He’s so erratic and wasteful, that despite getting in good positions and making a few goals. The ones he miss, are far greater. Rather grind a player akin to Johnson to play on the left who can develop and actually finish a move

No for me as perm. Personally think our performances going downhill have aligned with us being so focused on getting him the ball. Like we’ve completely gone off Porro creating stuff to force it to Werner.

If we are gonna do that get someone better and braver

No chance we should be signing this wet blankie. He is not good enough for Chelsea, but good enough for the gentle lot at Spurs. Would much rather a young player come through. He’s nowhere near consistent enough and it’s no wonder we’ve looked so crap since he’s arrived.

It would be a really poor permanent signing considering the profile of our current options, driven by getting a bargain.

But what is a bargain when it means £15m less we could spend on a winger who gives us more variety and individual threat.
Still standing by this, but it’s becoming more and more obvious that our priorities should be across the front 3.

We need to buy starters, we’ve already got the ‘squad players’ in our starting line up ffs.

Last week we scraped a win against Luton and he played alright.
I agree and when I pointed out he looked dangerous but had clear questions over parts of his game people disagreed with me.

We pretty much know exactly what his ability level is and playing style.

Whether we want to buy him really shouldn't change on a game by game basis.

Agree and if the pendulum does swing so wildly on a game by game basis, surely there’s the answer, too inconsistent, not good enough.

I've always been decent stop gap not sure about signing him permanently. He's been better than I thought he would be tbf.

I’d say even in a few of the games where he’s got assists he’s been largely anonymous for the rest of the game.
He’s done very well on the numbers but we are not in the form or position to carry him through games.

I suppose as it’s a loan he will be judged game by game and he has had some pretty decent games as well as a few shockers like today.

All depends on our budget, if is large then £15mil for arguably an improvement on Solomon for a decent squad option could be good but mabye we could do better and we certainly need to be signing 2 starting attacking players regardless of what we do with Werner.

Well im still of the same opinion that I have no idea if he’s good or shit. And that he definitely shouldn’t be signed as a starting player.
