No way! I used to watch Barrow too. I was a season ticket holder in the early 2000’s when Grant Holt was there. Spurs almost played Barrow in the FA cup in 2001 but Layton Orient sneaked past Barrow and then lost to Spurs the next round (Gary Doherty scored!)
Great to have another Barrovian on SC.

St Johnstone.

I was born & raised in Perth. Had a season ticket at McDiarmid Park and went to pretty much every game home & away from the age of about 12 until I left for uni at 18.

Only ever missed a Saints match when I'd managed to persuade my dad to take me to a Spurs game instead.

Moved south of the border after graduating uni and have now been a season ticket holder at Spurs for over 20 years. Still get to the occasional Saints match when I'm back up home for Xmas or Easter.

Athletic Bilbao. Fell in love with their club culture and their commitment to the Basque only policy. Amazing they have never been relegated with their small player pool. It’s a testament to their youth setup and recruitment in the area.

Waterford FC in Irelands second tier are my local club and I’ve a season ticket there too. If you think Spurs are badly run, take a look at how Waterford have been run the last few years…

On the verge of bankruptcy, we get taken over by Lee Power who is a former Norwich player. Get promoted, qualify for Europe but get denied that spot because it was technically a new club when the owners took over. Turns out Power was a charlatan, his son who ran the club allegedly had to leave town because of some of his “hobbies”. Get taken over by another lad who wants his son in the team. Sack our manager three days before a promotion/relegation play off allegedly for his refusal to play said son. Appoint former Spur Ian Hendon for that game. Play Wimbledon type hoofball, lose and get relegated. Get taken over by the owners of Fleetwood and look like we’re going to be run properly. Owner gets done for fraud and sentenced to 13 years in jail.

It’s like real life Dream Team but you have to support local.

No second team in the premier league but do have a soft spot for Everton. Think it’s coz they’ve suffered quite a bit like us and are generally a lot more likeable than the other club from that city.

Enfield Town FC, not really a secret.
Whenever I get the chance I'm there, It's really nice to see these players busting a gut giving 100% just because they love doing it, not for the money.
Plus the bar is really cheap and you can just drink heavily a few feet from the pitch.
Mine too. This will age me but I went to see them play Skelmersdale in the Amateur Cup Final at Wembley. Huge crowd. Daren't look up when it was.

Haha I saw them play Telford at the old (good) Wembley in around 1987-88?
I think it was a gripping 0-0 draw.

I have 2 other teams who i look out for - Celtic and Swansea.
Both are sort of interlinked to me supporting Spurs also, so please indulge me.

Born and brought up in the South Westest part of Wales (nearer to Ireland than any other city lol). Mum's family moved over here from Ireland back in the 1960s for work. Grandad died more or less straight away and my uncle was sent away as a 13yr old to earn money for the family. He ended up in Loughborough, living with 2 lads - one Spurs and one Celtic....before then he had no team as such, but went to Spurs with his mate a few times and was hooked. He was the reason I supported Spurs and we had many great trips together...sadly passed away suddenly last year aged 70.

This got passed down to me eventually and along with the Irish connection (class myself as Welsh but am an Irish citizen/passport holder) with Celtic being my '2nd team'.

Funnily enough, one of nans brothers (1 of 9! Irish catholics 🤣) also left Ireland back in the 60s and ended up living in Enfield for 50+ years. I can remember going up to stay with them in the late 80s / early 90s in their house in St Andrews Rd opposite the station. They had a huge house and used to have the scholars/apprentices as lodgers. Over the years they had a few boys who went on to make it in the 1st team who had lived with them.

Also keep an eye out for Swansea as its the nearest bit of civilisation to me - 70 miles away.
Had my first visit to WHL back in 86, but went to first Swans game in 1991 at the Vetch - where they beat Spurs 1-0 in the Rumbelows Cup 🤣
Jimmy Gilligan with the goal before we smashed them 5-1 back at the Lane.

Southend would be my closest professional team. Sometimes look at for their results, but they’ve been awful for years and the town/stadium is a dump. So I don’t really care

On a slightly different note, the team I hate most is Barrow.
We was working in the town a few years ago and the hotel was across from the ground. One night we went to their clubhouse for a drink and was promptly invited to join in with the raffle. Having bought 80% of the tickets we thought we had a fair chance of winning.
Wrong, they cheated us out of our winnings.
My life would’ve been improved by winning that kettle.

Leyton Orient were my local team growing up and have been there a few times. Still look for their results. The main one now is Hornchurch from non league. I started going there when I was totally disenchanted with Spurs and the premier league in general. Still go now although they will never get near the feeling I have for Spurs.

Not really secret as I've said I support them in the past but my second team is Wycombe Wanderers.

I've actually seen them win more trophies in the flesh than us. Two FA Trophy wins at the old Wembley versus one League Cup win in 2008 for us. Pretty annoying really.

Woking because it's been my home for 15 years now, and in 1990 I worked with Tim Buzaglo who was Woking's striker who played in their amazing FA cup run (Hat trick vs WBA) to the fourth round where they were narrowly beaten away at Everton.

Oh and my lad works there part time too.
