The club emailed out today that the Members' Player of the Season vote is now open.

Just wondering who you’re all voting for, and why?

I know that Sonny will probably win it but I voted for Moussa Sissoko. There has never been a player at Spurs who has changed my perception of them as dramatically as Sissoko has this season.

He was pretty much Janssen, Rasiak level in my mind at the start of the season. I genuinely felt he made us worse.

He’s not only changed my mind but I think what he has done is quite remarkable. He now makes us so much better when he plays and has added that drive that I thought we’d find so difficult to replace after Dembele left. Defensively he’s been outstanding and so hard to beat.

A true transformation. Fucking hats off to you, big guy. Please be fit for the run-in!

Have to agree...Sissoko has gone from Sunday League level to arguably one of our most important players.

Astonishing transformation!!!

It's a close call between Son and Sissoko, but I'm going Sonny. Sissoko has lifted his game beyond belief, and been absolutely crucial to us this season. But this has also been the season where Son has proven that he truly is a world class player.

Son for me as he is one of the few players who get me excited every time he’s on the ball and has made an impact for us when we’ve needed him most.

If there was one for ‘most improved’ then my vote would be Sissoko but I can’t give him ‘player of the season’ when his final ball / shot is consistently so poor that it’s a running joke.

Sissoko, for me one of the greatest turnaround in a player I have ever seen. Look at how we missed him yesterday. West Ham don’t win that game if he played imo.

I opted for Sonny. He really stepped up in Harry's absence earlier in the season. He's scored some crucial goals and even said earlier in the season that he was exhausted.

Boy doesn't stop working his arse off however.

As for my runner up, Sissoko has been a revelation this season. What a turnaround. From having the first touch and control of Carlton Palmer on acid, to a beast possessed.

However, if it's improvement you're looking for. I give you Aurier. I mean, it looks like he may have overcome his foul throw issues.

That's training and dedication right there. :sneaky:

Could argue that Kane improved as much - went from being this awkward, clumsy looking lump from our youth team who couldn't make an impact on loan at Leicester or Norwich and looked set to be the next Jamie Slabber - onto being the best striker in the world. There was that interview with Van Der Vaart where he remembered watching Kane in training and he said to one of the other players, quote, "this guy is so shit". I guess the difference is that he was young and had time on his side to get better whereas Sissoko had already had a very underwhelming career with Newcastle so a lot of us never wanted him in the first place.

Sissoko has been our most consistent player this season, just edging out Alderweireld. Fantastic turnaround as has been said. However Son has produced the most moments of magic, the match winning pieces of brilliance that have us in the top 3 and in the Champions League semis. If only he hadn't spent so much time away on international duty.

Haven't decided who I'll vote for yet but it'll be one of those three.

Sissoko will win the emotional vote as the loser making good but Son has been the class act who has driven us forward this season. His drive, enthusiasm, bravery only add to the rarest ability of all which is to score goals that win or turn games. The only rider is that for the first third or so of the season he was not there or not fit after his international exploits

All the Korean fans will give it to Son so I recon he'll get it but I voted Sissoko in the poll and officially .

West Ham highlighted how important he has been to our team. Adds so much. And coming from such adversity is incredible, deserves the player of the season accolade

Sissoko for me based on this season.

I'd imagine Son will win due to the Korean fanbase, to be fair I'd be happy for him. Deserves recognition for 3 very good seasons.

Either is worthy of winning it. Son's goals against City were absolutely stunning in terms of their importance.

But I'm going for Sissoko. Not just because of his remarkable improvement, but he's been our most consistent player of the season, and I include Son in that.

Sissoko has produced a high level of performance for over 90% of our games.

An incredibly consistent season, and for that reason he gets my vote.

Not an emotional vote, but the correct one imo.

Son a very close second.

Sissoko most improved, but Sonny gets outright player of the season. How many times has he got the all important goals while Kane was out? No doubt Sissoko has been great and one of our more consistent performers, however Son has become a seriously key man that everyone has taken notice. Not to mention he played in two international tournaments, winning one and how can you not vote for THAT smile?!

Gave mine to Son, but it was almost 50/50 between him and Sissoko.
Son would be the first non european to win it, Sissoko the second french after Ginola 21 years ago (!)

Son...

Only Sissoko gave him any competition this season...

But I’ve gone for the one thing Son has that Sissoko doesn’t...

The goals.

Sissoko most improved player, yes.

Sissoko has gone from being absolutely horrible to being quite acceptable, and he does deserve credit for the vast improvement. But to me player of the season isn't about who has improved the most, but who has been literally the best. For that reason, I think beyond doubt that the player of the season for me is Son, and there is no other contender. Talking about improvement, Son has in addition to playing very well and winning points, he has also improved upon last season. Furthermore some of his goals have singlehandedly provided us with wins that have contributed to our top 3 position. Son is THE embodiment of a Tottenham player this season.
