Good news - we keep beating the teams that are currently below us in the table.

Bad news - we still haven't played any team that is currently ahead of us in the table.

Have we played anyone yet?

Chelsea will be the turning point - in terms of how pundits really view us.

If we beat Chelsea - the conversation will turn from "nice start" to "Spurs belong in the conversation"

We have to be near or at the top in February (After AFCON and Asian Cup) before people consider us legit title contenders.

So exciting. Love having a team that is fun to watch, is winning games, and the feel-good factor with Ange/ the players.

If it’s going to happen …..

It has to happen this season otherwise chance will go.
If Man City get less than 90 points this season then it can be seen as a chance missed. If they get their usual amount of points then we never had a hope.

I'm just enjoying the ride.

We came close with Poch. I never truly believed when we had a good run with Jose and Conte, but with Ange, the football is something else. I can enjoy our football!

As was said the last couple of times also, and yet here we are. It's football. If we do the right things then we can remain in the conversation, which is all most of us want. Every season there are top clubs having a shit time for a good few years on the spin now. Just got to be there or there abouts to pounce, and I'm glad that we seem to have got ourselves stable enough to be in that place so far, but that's not to say we can't do it again anyway if we fall this year. This season is the last season in the past 8 years we'd have expected to be any good.

...and yet here we are.

Apparently :
13 teams have has 23+ points after 9 games.
1 team failed to finish top 4 (Newcastle 94/95 finished 6th),.
1 team finished 3rd.
4 teams 2nd.
7 teams finished 1st.
Looks like the odds of finishing 1st has actually slightly decreased with that win.

12 teams have has 26+ points after 10 games.
1 team failed to finish top 4. (Newcastle 94/95 finished 6th).
1 team finished 3rd.
4 teams 2nd.
6 teams finished 1st.

I did believe a little under Jose. Just because it was him, that he said he had thought of a new way to win and we were top. Seemed like he was going to do his magic, even if the feeling was very short lived.

We’ve been in Spain this week with the kids. I’ve been struck by how many people that are non Spurs fans that are wishing us well. Ange has made us very likeable

11th of December will be when we can start assessing things better. We have a run of games where we play Villa, City, West Ham and then Newcastle on the 10th of December. West Ham feel like the worst of the lot as they will look to play on the counter and are very good at doing so. The other three will look to press us when we try to build up which might work for us, but they are far more deadly in front of goal than any of the teams we've played so far (and I include Arsenal in that). Not to mention the fact that they can all retain possession for long periods of time and create chance after chance.

It will never turn to we can win the title…even if we are 4 points clear with 1 game to go…Neville will still say we can’t win it

Just adding to this, but honestly I keep asking myself one question. At what point in the season can I truly start to believe in a title race? It’s been 10 games, which is just over a quarter of the season. We’ve looked comfortable in most of our games, and we’ve managed to grind out harder games like last night too. These are the things champions do throughout the season that delivers titles. I keep telling myself 20 games and I can believe. No wait, that’s only half the season. 30 games and I can start to believe. And so on.

I’m enjoying the ride just as much as anyone else, but deep down I can’t shake this feeling that we’re doing something truly special here.

If we are still in the mix at Christmas then the conversation around the title could begin.

No one I know is saying we will win it, it's just the media and opposition fans trying to build us up so they can say we bottled it

It’s crazy how logic and objectivity have become irrelevant in journalism these days and everything is written around clicks and memes.

I can’t wait for us to win a title, any title for that matter so I can inject those sweet, sweet tears when the opposition fans can’t call us legends anymore. I have no idea what they’re going to live for from that point on.

Yep that period plus how many injuries we have or haven’t had by Jan when Son Sarr and Biss are away for some games will be key as to if we will be in a title race or not.

At least this time if we are come Jan I know Ange will know the most he can squeeze out of Levy to help us with that challenge rather than under Redknapp when we had no money and Levy didn’t really trust him so we ended up with Nelson & Saha.

If we can get to Jan there or there about after our hard run of Dec games and add 2 more players in Jan then let’s see.

For now just enjoy it and dare to dream :)
