So if its not Chelsea winning the CL to stop us from qualifying its Arsenal, West Ham etc going out of Europe which could now stop us qualifying haha, you couldn't make this stuff up.After the first leg results, Every English team could be out of Europe by next Friday!!
me too - Europa next season would not be the end of the world - I am not sure we are ready for CLSo if its not Chelsea winning the CL to stop us from qualifying its Arsenal, West Ham etc going out of Europe which could now stop us qualifying haha, you couldn't make this stuff up.
That being said I'm really not that fussed CL or EL either way we will go for it in every competition next season and we really should be finishing 4th ahead of Villa anyway and just get the job done.
I mean this really isn't something to be thinking/worrying about right now buddy.Had a quick look through the new format for CL , couldn't see anything about playing teams from same country , so could we possibly be drawn away to Arsenal and Liverpool in the initial four home and four away league matches , our pre Ange record of results at both those places is pretty awful.
Worrying about us having fixtures that we may not have in a season that hasn't started yet is new..Had a quick look through the new format for CL , couldn't see anything about playing teams from same country , so could we possibly be drawn away to Arsenal and Liverpool in the initial four home and four away league matches , our pre Ange record of results at both those places is pretty awful.
Not worried about it just couldn't see any mention of it , so it's completely different to teams from same countries being kept apart until the quarter finals.Worrying about us having fixtures that we may not have in a season that hasn't started yet is new..
But going by my experience on FM24 you can be drawn against same country sides, however will only play them once either home or away.
Same country sides can play each other in the league phase and the whole way through. I'm not at home so can't check, but I believe that is the case (unless FM have got it wrong and it's slightly different in reality). Not worried about it just couldn't see any mention of it , so it's completely different to teams from same countries being kept apart until the quarter finals.
Teams that get the extra champions league spot can play same association clubs in the new group format.Same country sides can play each other in the league phase and the whole way through. I guess we always get the 5th spot in my FM games then..Teams that get the extra champions league spot can play same association clubs in the new group format.
If we just get the usual 4 we won’t.
Think it's been briefed that this will be avoided wherever possible, and won't happen with England next season. It's primarily an issue when the same country has lots of clubs in the same pot, whereas England's will be pretty spread out (City and Liverpool Pot 1, Arsenal Pot 2, Tottenham if we quality probably Pot 3, Villa if they qualify Pot 4, West Ham if they qualify Pot 2)Just found this on the ESPN site , so looks like there could be one game against another English club either home or away. Playing eight different clubs does add a new dimension to the competition.
As a general rule, clubs from the same association will not be drawn against each other. However, to avoid deadlocking, the leagues with four or more clubs could play one match against another team from the same country.
