So i just heard Poch mention we have 7 games in 20 days (stoke being the 1st game).

That is a pretty amazing stat.

Some questions. How will we cope? Is it good/bad that Poch has brought it up (although i think it was just an observation not a statement)?

We have a squad that rotates and offers cover all over the pitch.

It's good that he brought it up as I have to make sure I also have a lot of cover in the next couple of weeks for looking after my daughter.

All about the strength in depth at times like this.

The squad players will need to step up that's for sure, I fully expect the gillingham game to be made up of youngsters and fringe players, I'd be annoyed if the likes of dier, Alli, eriksen or Kane played at all in that game.

we've got plenty of players who have had a very short pre season so I think we're be in fine shape after this run of games

Agreed

I think it's safe to say he will rotate heavily for that game

He went second string against arsenal last year so I can't imagine he will deploy our top guns against Gillingham

Doesnt help with Rose out. Could we see KWP at left back for the Gills.
I wouldn't worry about Rose being out. He still made the team of the week in the Metro.

"Rose was one of the many Spurs stars to finally hit their straps after a steady start to the campaign, contributing at both ends of the pitch to ensure the north Londoners came away with all three points."

Must have got him mixed up with Ben Davies.

Should have gone to Spec Savers?

Frankly it's about time. Every season start is such a stop-start affair with the transfer window crossing over the first couple of weeks, practically no team really being ready for the first few games, the poxy international break always interrupting things just as they're starting to settle down... I hate the start of the season.

I'm glad we've got a load of games in a short space of time now, I can finally get back into following Spurs properly again, because I haven't really bothered properly yet so far this season. My favourite parts of any season are the really busy times when cups are mixed with busy domestic league programmes, which is why I like the Christmas period so much.

I think we'll play a complete reserve team against gillingham but, aside from that, Poch will largely play his core group of 15/16 players and rotate them so nobody starts more than 5 of the 7. I'd expect to see the full backs also rotate a bit as well.

Best thing about this squad is that we can make changes without altering the way we play. Last season, our reserve Players from CM forwards were completely different players, now I feel that we can bring in 2-3 new faces for a game and still play in the same way. For example, we can bring in Janssen for Kane, Sissoko for Son, Lamela for Alli and Dembele for Dier and our team for the CL still looks demonstrably Poch and quality.

We won't see 9-10 changes between games this season but Poch resting as and when players look like they need it and we'll be even better

Dont want to see a full reserve team against gillingham, would be unfair to the youngsters.

Should play a decent mix of first team squad players with maybe winks josh n edwards getting a run out. They will learn much more if weve got a few of the first team playing alongside them

If we didnt have an international break after that run then it would be like 50 games in like 216 days... not the same ring,

I hate international breaks. Booooooooring

I'd like to see a full rotation for that game, and to be fair - our "reserves" consist of guys like Holland's by far best player, the most impressive player from the finals of this summer's European Championship, one of the top 2-3 stronges defensive midfielders in the Premier League recent seasons, the most exciting player from the french league who with Zlatan Ibrahimovic were the only players from that league nominated for UEFA player of the year. And a bunch of internationals

I think the biggest problem is that we have City as the last match before the break. A lot of the other matches are manageable, but ending it with City can't be ideal. Anyway, I think we'll do well.
