Well if we sign him and every time he picks the ball he dribbles 5 yards and then shoots from behind the half way line we know who to blame.
It depends, does it count for three goals if it makes it in?

Inter fans seem to think this is a goodbye

From an attacking sense (which granted is a bit of an arse backwards take on what will be a LCB but nevertheless) Bastoni, Kostic and Son is a damn near perfect left flank and will cause opposition teams nightmares in trying to mitigate.

True, it will also free up anyone on the right side. New RWB with Romero and Deki, then you try to pick which side to mark more, plus worry about Kane.

I reckon he'd be happy to come to us...but it really depends on what his other options are

I reckon if City came in, we'd be f*cked - he'd go there
I reckon if Chelsea came in, it'd be a toss up, with them (purely because of recent history) maybe marginally ahead

Fingers crossed we move quickly

He's the perfect CB for a back three. I'm not sure how keen he is (or even how good he'll be) on playing in a back four at City. But it's hard to say no to City. I get that.
As for Chelsea, I think the Conte factor will give us an edge.

Like the look of Bastoni, and in a WC year when Italy have not qualified, could be good for us to have a back 3 of Sanchez (if he stays), Dier (unlikely to go to WC) and Bastoni all rested during the WC so they can be fully ready for start of second half of the season.

Didn't even think of that but it is a nice point. Sessegnon & potentially Spence unlikely to go as well.

Surely Dier will go?! But having a settled back line over the internationals would be amazing.

Disagree sorry, Conte was his manager for 2 seasons, Conte was the one who made him a starter. Also he kinda said this

Inter Milan's Antonio Conte 'Is the Messi of Coaches,' Says Alessandro Bastoni

I would say if conte wants him he comes to us.

Except there’s just the small matter of agreeing a fee with bigger clubs circling.
