Interesting 'speculation' that may take the pressure off Spurs fans with regard to AVB and Bale. Or not as the case may be. From the usually reliable, interesting and up to date Spanish football sports blog (http://spanishfootballsports.blogspot.co.uk)

''This next story should be taken for what it is, speculation without any official statement. The news comes out of the Barcelona based Spanish Sports daily "Sport", something good & bad, the first its out of the Real Madrid dominated media & the second bad because "Sport" is always attempting to put a spoke in the Real Madrid bicycle.

According to reports, many observers believe that current Coach José Mourinho will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season. Some have gone further in commenting that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has a pre-agreement with Italian & Paris St Germain Coach Carlo Ancelotti in the case that Mourinho announces his exit.

One of the demands of Carlo Ancelotti for Real Madrid if he was to take over is the signing of Uruguayan & Napoles striker Cavani. The mentioned Spanish Sports daily report today that Real Madrid has Cavani tied up for next season in accord with the solicitation of Ancelotti thus making the Uruguayan the first signing for next season.

Before getting all excited ( the Real Madrid fans ) all this is still rumour. Please keep it in mind. Stay tuned!''

I don't think it takes any pressure off because the pressure we face is in the here and now. I could not give 2 fucks if RM want Bale and AVB, if we get 4th they can jog on. I would rather wait until the end of the season and see where we are then.

It's a bit of a lose lose situation, not looking forward to JM going back to Chelsea if the roomers are true??? If Cavani goes to RM then Napoli will sign Leandro ( I am over him by the way, got rid of my "Leandro Damiao is a yid" tattoo) so no go there.

Always liked Ancelotti though, think he would do well at RM

If they get Cavani, they can't afford to buy Bale as well, can they?

as a good business partner we will take Higuain for a cut price.

They're Madrid, they can afford to buy whoever they want.

Plus it's an election year, spending money gets Perez votes.

Mourinho is not going back to Chelsea

I hope your right mate. TBH, I think it's unlikely as well but you never know.

You would think that he would at least wait to see whether the Chavs get CL football or not

I think he has too big an ego to go back, no way would he have the success he had 1st time around ( with man city and man utd money ) so nothing for him to gain from it and a lot to lose.

Think he is waiting for the Old Trafford job personally.

Of course the media want him back in England and Chelsea the obvious choice given stability of the other managers etc so that is why he is being linked, and Mourinho himself loves the attention of being linked but I just cannot see it.

Same way i cannot see Villas-Boas at Madrid, still too young and inexperienced plus the Spanish don't get on with the current Portugese coach so why would they replace him with another

Or even City. Let's face it, who cares as long as he don't go to the scum or the blue racists

Ancelotti to RM makes good sense and he's a safe pair of hands.

I'm confused by the Cavani link though - hasn't there been rumours linking Falcao to a done-deal move to Real instead? Both is just greedy, quite frankly!

This.

Mourinho going to get stupid money at PSG; Chelsea to lose out on another managerial target.

Ancelotti recently gave an interview saying he wants to stay at PSG, though, citing continuity as his reason. Reckon he'll leave if an offer comes in for him, though; PSG will want to move for Mourinho.

Pep at Bayern trying to dominate European football and Mourinho at PSG trying the same thing.

Agreed. Ancelotti is easily good enough to take the helm at Madrid. Cavani is also good enough for Madrid and I can see them getting him provided they don't get Falcao.

In Italy Cavani is the highest profile Uruguayan whereas over here it's that toss-pot (albeit a very good player) Suarez. Cavani going to Real could make him the highest profile one in the world which would hopefully piss Suarez off. I've seen him walk about the pitch for Uruguay acting like his shit doesn't stink and it would be great to see him lower down in the pecking order.

Although Suarez and Cavani up front together is a scary thought for the next World Cup.
