Yes, £15 million - excitement got the better of me!

Looks like Keane may be back though - not too happy with that possibility.

I don't know mate, Zenit will be aware that his value is falling and also that Advocaat can't work with him anymore. They could perhaps afford to be a little calculated last time, now I'm sure they just want to get a deal done which suits all. £18m cash will do it.

I'm not getting hopeful. We'll see in a few hours I suppose!

Our biggest earners are on around 50k. Arsenal have players on significantly more. Obviously they have a wage structure in place so players don't tend to join on silly wages but I still can't see us being able to offer Arshavin good enough personal terms if Arsenal have failed to do so.

Someone not at work today should surely go and follow Arsh wherever the he is and shepherd him towards the Lodge.

Confirmation from sky :

Sky Sports News sources understand Andrei Arshavin is heading back to a London airport following the breakdown of talks with Arsenal.
The Gunners have been tracking the Zenit St Petersburg playmaker throughout the transfer window and Arsene Wenger had been hopeful of completing a deal before Monday's 5pm deadline.
The Russian, who starred for his country at Euro 2008, flew into England over the weekend ahead of final negotiations.
Arshavin was also expected to undergo a medical but it now appears as though Arsenal could miss out on his signature.
It is believed that Arsenal are reluctant to meet the 27-year-old's wage demands, even though Wenger feels he could bring a new dimension to his side's attack.
Arsenal have fallen ten points off the pace in the Premier League title race and have drawn their last two games.
Arshavin has made no secret of his desire to clinch a move away from Zenit St Petersburg and has previously been linked with Barcelona, Tottenham and Manchester City.

I'm worried that actually NOTHING has been said from the media on Arshavin going to spurs this month. I think this deal went straight over 'Arrys 'ead, after all, Arshavin hasn't actually played for spurs before. I hope I'm wrong because I'd love to see us get him, and not sign keane but I think its going to go the other way round.

Whilst taking the kids to school this morning I had to stop the car for a black cat!
My thoughts for some reason went to Arshavin!
Anyway get back home switch on SSN and seems the deal with the Arse is off!
Could this be Levy's moment of glory....not to mention Fazza's.
