I pray this isn’t the case that Werner has made the powers that be think he’s the answer long term because we absolutely need more quality in the final third and effective succession planning to Son.

Would have thought we’ll all hear about it soon!
Nusa has given the “green light” so you would assume Brentford was the only move available to him currently. I’m sure they gave him guarantees on being a stepping stone tho. Kind of strange after Ange talked to him, sold him on the project and asked for him now.

Glad I never looked at any of the videos now. No point until the player is ours. Barring a late twist that doesn't seem to be happening. What a shame, I just love a new signing.

We will regret losing out on this one. As I’ve said earlier, he is the same talent level as Haaland. Most be something more behind the scenes here?

POK suggesting that we weren't that far down the line with him:

Tbh I'm not having that.

It was obviously more down the line than that. His manager even said so iirc.

Let's see but it's not looking good of we've let this slip.

Not to fucking Brentford

I'm sorry but you can't call this a fumble when the indicators seem to show we held a meeting and thats about it, and the rest was just hyperbole and exaggeration... we just wasn't and aren't in for him 🤷‍♂️

Let's not burn Levy's head just yet, let's give things a little time and see what happens.

We still really need to be looking for someone with his profile if we've missed out. Long term he wouldve been perfect for us but it would take a few years for him to get to that top top level.

If we can't get a long term deal like this done, imo we really need to be looking at someone just on the cusp of being there i.e a Nico Williams

Can’t believe we’ve fumbled this. Wonder who the back up plan is 😤
We don't even know how much we were really after him to suggest we fumbled anything. Maybe we just thought he was too much money? Maybe he wanted guarantees on playing time we couldn't offer? We just don't know anything yet.

Based on what we've seen so far, if he was a big target for Ange we probably would have signed him. I don't see the concern.
But we were told on here that he is a target of Anges so if we miss our on him which looks likely than that's not ideal.
Not exactly rocking back and forward here saying Levys done it again over and over but if we're told his a player Ange wants for a price that we can afford and that the player and his family wanted us then it doesnt look great
