Dunno why, but been thinking about this lately as soon as I saw Real Madrid fans were perhaps not appreciating himself as much as they could be.

If we finish well this year and continue our progress I wonder if we'd be an attractive prospect now he's gotta the Madrid sillyness out of his system (lol).

Even if we signed no-one else our current team would be pretty darn amazing with him added.

Maybe to Man U, Chelsea or Man City

We have 0.00% chance of matching what Madrid pay him

I genuinely think he will be back one day, and if we keep developing as a squad we will surely be a very tempting proposition

Muuuuhahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Hell no. The money is gone and we ain't never spending 40-50m, even if they still owe us 30m or thereabouts.

1) DIscontent with life in Madrid, the manager there, or the team's performance and atmosphere, or a combination of the three.

2) We qualify for Champions' League multiple times in the next 3-5 years.
or
3) We win multiple trophies in the COC, FA Cup, or EL in the next 3-5 years.

I think we would be willing to break our wage structure again for him, especially once the stadium is completed.

I could see him returning to us when his contract is over and the stadium is completed. It could be a triumphant return assuming he doesn't suffer a catastrophic injury or take some downward turn in form.

The big chance we have is Bale stays in Madrid for another 3 years or so, we finish building our big new shineynstadium, and bales comes back to us to light it up. I can only dream

He's not going anywhere until he's in his 30s. I'd still take him in 10 years though.

I hope he has the decency not to come back to the Prem unless it's back to us. I doubt he would be that honourable though.

Bale isn't going anywhere especially considering Real Madrid have a ban coming up. They done the exact same thing as barca except they signed 51 youth players illegally!

Though the case will be harder to prove as the players didn't sign for real madrid

It would be great to have Bale back, but we do (sort of) already have a player turning in Balesque performances and he goes by the name of Harry Kane

Not a RM fan obviously...

However he has 14 la liga gols and 8 assists. Hardly a bad season...

Problem is Mandril want to sign however had a good season this year and don't give players time to settle. he won the copa and scored in champions league final for them last yr...

It's definitely a possibility, not as preposterous as some would think.

I genuinely don't think he would disrespect us further by returning to the PL with someone else.

No. No chance at all.
1. Couldn't afford the transfer. 2. Wouldn't pay the loan fee. 3. GB wouldn't come back to us. He didn't support us and whilst played brilliantly for us, it was clear that we were a stepping stone for him.
It tugs on those sentimental fans' heart strings, but alas he'll be back at the lane hopefully when we're about to knock Madrid out of the CL, when we're marshalling him as he plays for a City / Chelsea / Man Utd or, on a pitch side interview reminiscing about his days at the Lane when he's 40.

Am i the only one that remembers his childish, sulking face on sky sports news as we where trying to stop Real arse raping us by getting a good price for him? That pissed me right off tbh. I'd welcome him back obviously, but i'd probably rather we got someone else of similar quality like Reus if he was a similar price (would probably go for less even). This is all pointless talk anyway, he's not coming back to us until he's past it and we aren't getting Reus either

I think Modric has been harder to replace.

The weirdest thing about the team at the moment is that I double Bale would really 'fit in'. I'm quite happy with Chris/Harry in the middle, and I'm happier thinking about Harry as a player I can trust with my support, not to refuse to train in order to leave.

By the tone of the thread, I know that won't be popular, but we're finally moving on from Gareth as a team - if we finally get to be decent, I want it to be because we worked hard, not because we got Bale back etc.

I reckon he'll be back someday, but I also reckon he will be waaaaaay past his best by then.
