I have contacts in various parts of the World.

Yesterday, an Argentinian guy I know contacted me to ask if I can help get players off to English pro clubs.

My contact, Alejandro explained that Europesn scouts go only to watch Boca, River etc and never see the talent in the poor districts.

Alejandro is adamant that there is untapped talent and is seeking contacts to help get some of these young players to England/Europe.

Anyone want to comment ?

But for only £100 a month, you could sponsor a football player, for this we would send you a photo of the player in his football strip and even send highlights of him games to you......

I am sure if there were talents in poor places the scouts would still go and see, I can't see them not going or these great talents not being talked about.

Surely if they were good enough they would end up playing for one of the big Argentinan clubs, or get enough notoriety for a European club to come calling.

Jorge mendes has south america sewn up anyway. If there was a talent he'd know and they will be on their way to europe.

Work permit issues will see many unknown talent endign up in England, pack them off to Portugal .

He doesn't get to meet them so can't ask.

Perhaps he should contact the club, or a number of clubs with some names and if they get looked at and picked up maybe that could break the impass.
In fact contact clubs with a list of names anyway then if any of these kids do make it contact the clubs again saying "look I told you about these kids two/three/four years ago and you missed them, now I've got some more......" a bit of a long term strategy but if he makes an annual event of it it'll start showing results a few years down the line and keep running.

Who cares? I suspect Boca and River Plate send scouts to watch the other teams so it all filters through eventually.

I have a friend who is a diverse business man and is now in sports management, has had meetings with Baldini at spurs and has had meetings with many clubs. I can ask him if he would be interested, I know he has a couple of Brazilian players on board and represents a quite high profile player in Portugal... He may be interested.
