We wren't terrible in that half, or at least for the first 30-35 minutes of it, and on balance are a bit unlucky to be going in a goal down, but the quantum difference is the quality they show in transition compared to us. The move the ball, we hesitate, have look, Dembele takes 6 touches where 2 will do, and everything dies.

I'd be very tempted to have Wimmer off (no fault for the goal, it was a wicked free kick he had to go for) get Winks on, revert to the 4141/433/41221 and just get a bit more alacrity in our midfield and if Dembele doesn't start moving the fucking thing a bit quicker I'd have him off for Onomah too.

My brain went into meltdown when Webb tried to explain that. I just zoned out.
I can't see how his explanation is workable in a game. Players have to go for the ball and assume someone is behind them, they are offside regardless of whether Wimmer touches it.. so it should be offside. It's part of his thinking. Otherwise he just leaves it.

Hate to say it but Webb cleared that up well there. He's onside

He was blagging it. Free kick situations are different, both players were running towards the ball that's interfering, if both were coming back then I'd have said fine they weren't offside.

I agree they weren't in the eye sight of the keeper but that's superseded by the fact they both were running towards the ball.

We have very little in the final third. We have 10 less goals than Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and City after 11 matches. We just don't have the players to create something from nothing in the final third right now. Dredding that we play Chelsea and Monaco, two of Europe's form teams at the moment, in pivotal games after the international break. If we don't get something here, then the West Ham becomes a must win for us.

I think the biggest difference right now is watching the two squad set up in the attacking end. Spurs set up 25-30 yards away from goal, while Arsenal are setting up just outside the box - much more threatening.
All Dembele's fault imo. Every time he goes sideways and backwards. We don't gamble.

This isn't a pop at Poch, but I can't see him changing the formation unless we go 2 or 3 down. Or if Wimmer gets a second yellow...

I think Clattenburg has been good. Let's the game flow. Missed one foul on Eriksen. Don't get the negativity towards him.
We're still well in this game.

Battered? Get a life mate! Its 1-0 an OG by wimmer.
We had our chances. Stop over acting!
Relax mate...
You relax mate, I'm fine. It wasn't looking good before the OG. We are piss poor and if you can't see it then thats your outlook. We've had ZERO shots on target.

What frustrates me is right there we had four professionals in the industry arguing over whether it was offside. Sure, we as fans can argue, but when people who are part of the game don't understand or agree, then there's a big issue.

We started like I thought we would, up for the challenge but then we have reverted back to go backwards and the arse have taken over. Poch will be cautious now as he wont want to go 2-0 down if he makes a change early.
