Depending on how seriously West Ham take the Conference League, I think they will be pushing to take them too with the signings it looks like they’ve made and/or are planning to make. Arsenal fans keep comparing their side to ours when really they should look at West Ham. There really is little difference in the sides when you look at it. West Ham defence v theirs, not much difference, West Ham midfield is streets ahead of theirs, the attacks are pretty similar too although the scum might shade it. The more I think about it, the more comparable the sides look.

I agree. If West Ham get Kostic I think they will score a hat full of goals and finish above Arsenal

If they completely tank then Sharteta will be on the Rock n Roll and they might get a half decent manager - and with the money they seem to be able to spend, that could be very dangerous for us.

@Clockspur Trouble is, a new manager coming in, is he going to want £50m Ben White? £35m Vieira? They can’t keep throwing money at the problem and then suddenly get a new manager in who will accept this squad.

The issue they have is that they don’t seem to be able to recoup any money in transfers due to players either running down the contract or just being utter crap.

I really don’t see how they can afford to go again next summer if they fail to get CL unless they plan to sell one of Saka / Martinelli to City or Pool.

He's been made Norway captain as well which drew some confusion at the time but it seems like he's one of the sorts of players who keeps a dressing room together.

But he's far more a leader by example in what he tries to do than a warrior you want beside you when things get tough. In other words, proper Arsenal.

I really do like Jesus. I still think Arsenal will do well this season even if others think all this is pre season. You still want to go into the season playing extremely well and hitting the ground running - they look it. Proof is in the pudding in six days time for them.
