City will turn up looking to exact revenge for the UTD game. Aubameyang still might make a joke of their defence though so not sure how that goes. Chelsea will outplay them but a lot will depend on how Abraham is finishing. UTD will likely tear them a new one but I expect Everton to revert to form and roll over.

I mean it's that or he shits himself so......

It might be because I don't want to believe it, but Poch going to the gooners just doesn't add up for me. Perhaps he's that pissed with Levy that he will take them on, but he was sacked by Espanyol and still holds that he could never manage Barca.

Besides that, it would be almost a frying pan and fire situation. They are in a mess right now both on and off the pitch. He will suffer from the same financial restrictions there as he had at Tottenham and won't deliver anything for a couple of years. Their fans won't like that. Right now they are all happy to say they are (happy with a project), but 6 months ago he was still a second rate manager who had never won anything according to more than a few of them. If things haven't skyrocketed by the 18 month mark they will turn on him.

He won’t go there but he won’t not flirt with them as we’ve seen in the past. He doesn’t talk about rumour.

In fairness, it's easy to say "I'll never manage Barca" when it isn't exactly a likely thing to happen.

Bit like saying "Jennifer Aniston? Nah, she's not my type - and she's 50!"

Just seen on Sky that the guest pundit for tomorrow night’s game is Rafa Benitez.

Call me the suspicious type, but I’m putting 2 and 2 together here.

He has no affiliation to either club, isn’t even in the Prem and he’s in the Sky studio to commentate?

I’m guessing he’s going to be the new goon manager.

Pretty gutted if he is, I rate him highly. He’ll definitely stabilise things there short term and may just get them back on track going forward.

The Chinese super league has finished so he's come home. Very much doubt he's on Arsenal short list, West Ham maybe.

Arsenal have City, Chelsea, Man utd and Everton in their next 5 (the fifth is Bournemoth away). Could be a grim christmas for that lot.

Weirdly because of our own top 4 aspirations I would happily see them draw with both Chelsea and Man Utd........feel dirty for not wanting them to get battered by everyone!

MNF always have random guests. I’m sure he’s in touch with Carragher. Probably said if you’re free come on the show.

Remeber when their fans were creaming their pants at their transfer window??

Luiz has been an absolute disgrace. Pepe is Gervinho without the forehead and the biggest transfer flop in years. Ceballos was hailed the new Fabregas but he cant even dislodge reese Nelson. Spent 30m on a defender not available for the entire season and signed a Scottish left back thinking he would be as good as Robertson purely because he is a left back and Scottish. But turns out he cant even dislodge Saed Kolasinac

Isn't Tierney injured?

I remember quite a few posts here saying they'd done great business.
I didn't think it was a great window and said as much, although I do think the unsettling situations are making some players look worse.

For example, it's difficult for Tierney to come in and start well when everything else is turd around him.

However, they should have never gone all in for Pepe. There was every chance that that signing would flop and it wasn't a major necessity. They should have been bringing in a DM and a better CB.

Instead they wasted the money on Pepe so had to scramble around for a cheap CB. Chelsea happily obliged.

......yet this is what their fans wanted. A flashy signing to get one over United fans.

Well they get what they deserve

Let’s not forget Saliba. The team in desperate need of a decent CB spent almost their entire defensive budget on a kid from France who they won’t even see until next season.
