Said it before they were beating a lot of teams by the odd goal. They also played a lot of teams in there worse moment covid/injuries. If you let them play all their btec City football stuff they are quite good. But hustle them physically they don’t like it. Unfortunately Brighton home is probably perfect game for them but then have a bit of a nightmare week.

Southampton A
Chelsea A
United H

Oh and sounds like Tierney and Partey are out for a while. He can’t play Tavares now so Xhaka has to play LB. Means CM is lokonga/Odegaard or El neny. Might have to go to a back 3.

Why can’t he play Tavares?

Win our next 4, hope they drop more points vs Chelsea, United or WH and Southampton and then the derby may be nothing more than an extra kick in the balls for them.

In the same period, we play 4 games they play 5

Ours
Villa (a)
Brighton (h)
Brentford (a)
Leicester (h)

Them
Brighton (h)
Southampton (a)
Chelsea (a)
United (h)
WH (a)

I'm hoping that they take no more than 6 points and we take 10. Then we put ourselves in a great position.
Think they'll drop 9 points in those fixtures and us taking possibly 10. We'll be ahead of them when we play them.

Also Arsenal Injury crisis can only mean one thing. Time to get the lemon juice out again, Mikel.

Just seen that despite their good run of form that only one of their last 13 games in all competitions was a win by more than a single goal. Lots of tight games decided by slim margins. Whereas we've won by two or more in five of our last seven (one of the two where we didn't was at Old Trafford).

Obviously things can change quickly but knowing that about the two teams - one will suffer a lot more if they get a bit less luck...

Brighton are in horrendous form and scored like 1 in 8, so expect them to win that, hopefully Chelsea and west ham turn up against them and do us a favour for once

Don't Brighton have a fairly decent record against Arsenal? I fancy them to take points off Arsenal regardless of their recent slump

It’s odd with Tavares as he was doing quite well for them start of season when deputising for a Tierney wasn’t he?

Long may he continue having bad games though lol.

Didn't Brighton do them on the last day of the season a couple of seasons ago? I seem to remember a very very late Maupay goal and Bissouma pissing himself laughing after the whistle.

Think I know why Partey was so bad today.... Only bad thing is that it must mean the real one will be fit for their remaining games....
