yeah I can’t say I’m confident. We can move to within a point of Chelsea if we win. I’m too used to seeing us fold under the smallest bit of pressure when we have to win.

No we'll win this. We only crumble when we actually have a chance to overtake them, so next week expect a loss.

Want to see some positive forward play from Dier today, he used to be so good in that dm position dropping back to make a three so the full backs could get on, he was brilliant at it, its a shame he has gone so far backwards, looks lost at times nowadays and I agree that his only option now is playing cb. I hope JM isn't feeling like he has to play him so he'll sign a new deal, winning these games like today are vital if we want top 4 and shouldn't be gambled on.

It’s one thing resting players for RBL and another when you pick your most out of form midfielder ahead of 4 other options, all of which are available and on the bench. You would think they were all unavailable ffs

You just know the storm is gonna either prevent us scoring or blow the ball across the line for them

Aurier has that look like he is gonna give away a penalty today

(I like Aurier by the way and he has performed really well this season)

I might be misremembering, but wasn't Dier fairly good against city when he came on.

Would have played skip or Fernandes ahead of Dier. Don’t understand the logic at all, Villa will just want to defend

Our number 1 priority needs to be the league. Win today and top 4 is a real possibility. Getting passed RBL is going to be extremely difficult as it is and getting to the final again is a complete pipe dream.

Didn't say it wasn't. But as I mentioned, not all the players people have been calling to start today have been in the best of fitness lately. Clearly our manager came to the same conclusion. We will see how right or wrong he was I guess.
