Whilst I was nervous at 2 up I don't think the team was at all, we had that extra gear ready to go which we showed to get those first two goals and kicked it on again when the subs came on. getting 4 at Villa Park is a great result, now to make that game in hand count and get back into 4th!

My prediction was 3-1 to us so I sensed we would bag a few, based on them conceding a number of goals recently plus their trip to Amsterdam on Thursday but that was a stonking away performance. Controlled the first half without threatening them but had a good feel of passing the ball properly which we took into the second half. Villa were "long ball to Watkins, rinse and repeat" apart from that they were no threat to us at all. Second half we blew them away and played some lovely football. COYS!

Just rewatching the second half. Villa fans were full throatedly singing "We've got McGinn, Super John McGinn..." after he hacked Udogie down. This was rudely interrupted by the ref producing a red which effectively said "No you fucking haven't" and the volume of that singing went from 11 to 1 immediately!!!!

Villa's remaining games

3 home games that are winnable for them but they also have 3 exteremely tough away games.

They then have Chelsea, Brighton and Liverpool in a 3 game sequence.

They will need to rediscover their form they had just before xmas if they are to get much.

Meanwhile, we have some games where, if we turn it on, can get some points on board before the tough run we have.
