'There is no stability in England', claims Villas-Boas

Getting back to the interview, he might have a some sort of point there, however as he has himself walked out of every managerial position (when not kicked out) in a year or less, he certainly isn't right person to take high ground over issue.

I hate that word project it's absolute bullcrap, football is not about projects it's about winning not in 3yrs time, it's about getting the squad you have to perform to their best in the now.
If Andre wanted a project he should of done up a classic car or renovated an old house.
Projects in football is nonsense spouted by spoofer managers/coaches

Oh please...

Jol didn't slag us of either, Ramos could slag us of now if he wanted to and he hasn't.

Most sacked managers don't, usually a pride thing. Don't think Redknapp even did, did he?

In fact, you could say, AVB saying last week that his next role will be with a club that "values its coach", was probably the nearest anyone has come to slagging us off.

Mind you it was probably in all their contracts after Levy handed them all their cards.

Fucks me off when managers talk about a lack of stability at clubs and point to Wenger as an example.

What they fail to admit is that wenger won the effing double in his second season. Avb was getting thumped by pool, city and even bloody spam leaving us in 7th with a poverty goal difference.

It's all well and good to give a manager time, but he has to earn that time, with success.

And that's precisely the reason why, as much as it hurts to hear, we will simply be unable to match Arsenal in the foreseeable future. They simply have been the smartest club of the two, and until we stop interrupting solid football projects each time they hit a rough patch, we will keep seeing them from bellow the table at the end of each season.

This for me, every time we hit a poor patch the fans start booing which encourages the media to start the BS about the manager is going to go. We will never obtain regular sucess as long as we keep replacing managers.

The twitter and Internet generation have no patience for projects any more, you are only as good as your last game and all that

Look at Sherwood now, fantastic start yet getting slated by the fans over bullshit rumours

You forgot to say that too many fans who think getting a winning team in real football is as easy as it is on their puter games.

I thought about writing the same thing, you appear to have more patience.

What the actual fuck are you talking about? Again.
Go back and read through the thread when he was sacked, mate. The line from the club was the players were unhappy with him, he alienated freund, the front office didnt like him, he pissed off the medical staff and the grounds crew. They leaked some stuff to the media, but let it all out through ITK's.

He's right though, talking about a 'project' is a load of waffle whoever says it.

If you lose 10 games you're going to get the sack no matter how good the project sounds.

I agree that you do not get the time any more, but that is a shame. Building a team and getting 20 individuals to collectively perform well together, and thereby win is not easy. It takes time and lots of work including lots of trial and error. So talking about it as a project is valid imo.

Unfortunately I believe THFC are in a vicious cycle when in comes to Head Coach/Manager appointments-we seem to trigger happy, as soon as we experience a patch of poor results its off with your head! only for us to start again. You can already sense the boo boy waiting in the wings for Sherwood to have a blip. I believe all successful managers that stay for a test of time(not saying thats the only blueprint way to success) must be allowed to experience a rocky patch within reason and be supported by club and fans, one would think the benefit from any such blip vast experience will be gathered and hopeful enable better decision for any manager in the future.

Newcastle under Padew will be one of the clubs to watch over the next couple of season, it will be interesting to see Newcastle develop having backed Padew- who has been allowed to manage even with the varying league positons.

I have no issue with that at all, it's when the project is a way of buying yourself time which I think is a way some managers talk.
