I know bookies odds cannot be used as any type of barometer for players/ managers moving.
However, that said AVB has come down from 25/1 to evens to be manager of Real Madrid next season.

Has anyone heard any rumours?
Additionally would any of you like AVB to move on?

I am an AVB fan and think he could do great things at our club and i would be gutted were he to leave. We are a match made in heaven, and with a few more of his players in, we can progress to challenging for the title - not just top 4 and the europa league. Yes that's a big step up, but we are only 20 and 15 goal a season strikers from achieving such a feat in my opinion.

Not knocking him but I don't think he's done enough yet to warrant a position like that. The question marks around him from his Chelsea time still, for the most part, remain. I think he has the ability and potential to be top class but he's not there yet.

Skybet by any chance? Those cock-knockers always come up with ridiculous odds to get people talking. I call bollocks.

he would be stupid to go there. fail again like he did at chelsea and he'll never get the opportunity to manage a top club again. think spurs is perfect for him atm as he can develop and learn

Won the treble with Porto, might be able to bring Bale with him (he did name his daughter AVB after all). I've heard crazier rumours that turned out to be true!

I personally think AVB will be here for a few seasons though, he has his head screwed on and needs to rebuild his tarnished reputation which seems to make Spurs and AVB a perfect fit!
Besides Levy knows he has a rising talent on his hands and you can bet your bottom Euro that any contract buyout would be prohibitively expensive

I doubt it strongly but depends on how badly he feels Levy let him down in Jan and if he is likely to do it again in the summer

If anything is going to do it this is it. We all know about Levy, let's just hope Andre doesn't know how to use a computer and starts googling 'Spurs transfer windows'.

Its bollocks, they can't afford Bale and AVB's pay off, besides they are one of the clubs being investigated for having recieved government payments and the Spanish banks that support them on are on a knife edge. Nothing to see here.

I remember seeing this interview on youtube last summer from when AVB was Porto manager it's interesting how he talks about only wanting a short career in football and wanting to build something, I doubt he thinks that could be at Madrid! Hopefully he thinks Spurs is the club he can build at, although from what he said in this interview he was very happy at Porto, until Chelsea came along!

Watch from about 2:40 onwards:

Yet if we get knocked our of the Europa League and lose to City and finish 6th, the fans would most likely want him out anyway.

He was asked about this directly in an interview for Football Focus a couple of weeks ago and was all "Hee! No!" for what it's worth. Think it's just Sky Bet being arses.

Just left the barbers. Chelsea fans in there were braying loudly that Mourhino was joining Chelsea next season - I told them he was coming to Spurs. They guffawed - I told them it was because Real wanted AVB and Bale. They saw the logic - and stopped laughing instantly. My parting shot was, "Check Skybet, it's just gone to Evens." I left smiling, and they left distressed.

I know it's not going to happen, but thanks for that rumour anyway, it made this particular trip to the barbers well worthwhile.

Well played! I hope that you left with a "Well, my work here is done" and just swished out dramatically.:ROFLMAO:
