The BBC have clearly decided the top 5 will be Chelsea, City, Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool. They're running a poll to see who will be top from the following teams. I don't understand why Liverpool aren't in that group. Is there some kind of Liverpool bias with the BBC

Villa
Crystal Palace
Everton
Newcastle
Southampton
Stoke
Swansea
Tottenham
West Ham

We've finished above Liverpool 5 times out of the last 6 seasons but that's clearly ignored. And what the hell are Villa doing in this?

Anyway I voted Villa just to screw with their moronic poll. We've got 42% of the vote so far. It's going to be a bad season if we end up below any of that lot.

The BBC know that if you spend >£100M two years running you should be title challengers. Their poll just reflect this.

Whatever.

Every season we reiterate our ambition to be in the Champions League, every season we fail. Until we do the business we can't expect people to take us seriously.

Sure but football memories often go back further than that, that's why I can't abide Chelscum. It's not hard to see why people would consider Liverpool to be a sleeping giant, I guess that's why they attract so much hype.

Who cares? It will not effect our performances on the pitch in the slightest.

Umm, interesting. Yes, there's bias in just about every outlet for Liverpool, like it or loathe it they are box office.

I don't take it for granted we will finish above these clubs. I'm grateful we have a good recent record and the fan base, location and thereby some money to keep them at bay. If we don't spend our money, and wisely, we are of course in danger of being overtaken.

We finished 4th twice, but only finished in CL places once, that's the bottom line.
Indeed but fourth was a CL place it was just taken away from us. Now of course it wouldn't be, perhaps they realised it could happen to one of the other clubs.
