And Chelsea are a more attractive proposition than us?!
I don't think he said Chelsea are an unattractive proposition. Objectively they're still a big club, in top 4 position (hopefully not after this weekend), and with a manager who is playing youth and attractive football, and pay decent wages. If Chelsea are hypothetically interested in the same player as we are, then that player (and their agent) wouldn't ignore their interest

Chelsea with Lampard will be more attractive to any young player hoping to get chance of playing in the Premier League

All they have to do is look at how many academy players is in their team

Unfortunately for us, we stop promoting academy player after Winks and Skipp. Take into account how Onomah and KWP have regressed after winning the World Cup

If you look at the World Cup team

Jonjoe Kenny
Fikayo Tomori
Jake Clarke-Salter
Kyle Walker-Peters
Lewis Cook (c)
Josh Onomah
Kieran Dowell
Dominic Solanke
Ademola Lookman
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Sheyi Ojo
Ainsley Maitland-Niles

KWP and Onomah are one of the few that have not actually made a break through

Whilst I agree with you that Onomah and KWP have regressed, I don't think you can say they are in the few. Of all of them, only Lewis Cook can truly say he has made a significant breakthrough. Aside from him, I'd only say that Tomori and Calvert Lewin have taken significant steps at their clubs.

Despite getting a lot of praise Kenny didn't get a look in at their club and had to go elsewhere on loan, the same goes for Lookman, Ojo, Clarke Salter and Dowell. Solanke has basically stagnated whilst Maitland-Niles has been rushed into playing emergency fullback for Arsenal.

I do agree though, that were I in that age group I'd have more faith in Lampard than Mourinho.

I have a feeling Chelsea might panic in January and abandon their policy of playing youth. Revert to type and sign establish names

As poor as Jose's record might be on youth, that was Pochettino's fault and had nothing to do with Mourinho.

I think you've misunderstood my post. It was a rhetorical question. He was actually saying he believed that they were more attractive and I was disagreeing.

Onomah was a cut above in that tournament also.

Onomah was one of the players of the tournament. I think we all had hopes that he would turn into something like N'Dombele in CM, but Poch never gave him game time there.

If Chelsea can get Ake for £40m due to a contract clause, then they would mad not to. So I don’t see them being genuinely interested in Ben White for 25m

What Liverpool have done best of all, is finding potential stars at relegated or struggling clubs. Robertson and Wijnaldum have been superb, Shaqiri a decent impact player, all signed from sides who dropped out of the PL.

Godfrey could well be another of the same ilk, even if Norwich are shipping goals by the ton it seems obvious that the potential is there. Same as Aarons.
