He's often quoted as the inspiration for mangers (pretty sure Poch himself has been quoted too).

His teams normally do really well till March then just crash as they can't keep up the frantic levels demanded by him so imagine he's a bit of a control freak. Could well be that he found out he wouldn't have full control and just walked out.

He's stating that the club was already breaking promises regarding player signings he was promised would be there ready for pre-season, but to me that sounds like a convenient get-out.
