I think a lot of our players got a lot of stick over the past few seasons that should've been directed towards the coaching staff.
This. Still early days with Ange, but the future looks really promising. Does feel like we got our Tottenham back. It Does highlight how bad a decision it was to appoint Jose and Conte by the board but also, the fanbase, felt like we demanded the latter to the point we were about to march down Seven Sisters with torches and pitchforks. Never again.

Oh my gosh I fucking LOVED the way we played today. What a job Ange has done already. We look a team, we are brave and the passing is fantastic. Two class goals and it could have been more. I swear I almost had tears in my eyes watching us progress up the pitch with simple passing football. Maddison, VDV, Udogie, Bissouma, Sarr...almost everyone top class apart from Richarlison whose touch is appalling for a professional footballer and with him being a Brazilian player I find it quite astonishing. He murdered two or three moves because there was no link up between his brain and his feet. The subs were made at the exact moment I said to my mate that I would make changes now. And they were very good subs too. I swear Perisic had 100% pass completion. He and Pierre restored the composure of the team after a sticky period of the game where Bournemouth were pushing and we were beginning to drop off. How many years has it looked like our team has no idea how to play football and now this! I am in awe of what Ange has us producing in such a short space of time.

I think Richy is a really highly-strung man, desperate to succeed. A couple of good matches and he’d be a great asset, even if he just created the space for others to score. Dunno how much time you would give him though. No signs of us wanting rid this summer though. He could do with a break and be worked on, which means ‘kin cough up Levy!

TNT/BT Sport is soooo much better to watch than Sky Sports.

The 2x female presenters asks great Q’s and have nice energy, J.Cole especially is a good pundit and Crouch isn’t too bad either, certainly way more watchable than bloody Roy Keane and Micha knownothing Richards etc.

I dont like to kick the fella when he's down but Richarlison's performance up front was the worst ive ever seen from a Spurs forward. And this is from a man who stood on the Shelf watching Ian Moores and Chris Jones miss chance after chance.

Clearly he is drained of any confidence. I hope he's picked to play against a weakened Fulham team in the League Cup next week as we cannot afford to give up on him.

I hope Levy saw that we urgently need a replacement.
Wow, he was pretty poor today but I don't think it's in his top 5 worst performances for us let alone all time striker performances.

Yeah and I said as much at the time. It's not just coaching it's also confidence and morale.
💯 mate it’s a combination of all of these things!

Dinosaur defensive tactics, shackling the players, bad man management and all of these things combined sucked all of the players enjoyment and confidence.

Ange has undone all that :)

Gio is no Maddison thats for sure. If he's fine being a substitute then so be it.
He may not be but those were his first ~20 minutes of the season. I'm willing to be patient. I was pleased to see him offering for the ball, getting a lot of touches, and getting involvement in some action around the box in the late stages.

I think it's really important that we get right behind Richarlison, show him some love. Let's not go the Sanchez and Royal route.
Completely agree with this. He's a good player, as he showed at Everton. He's suffered whilst in Kane's shadow and is now so desperate to succeed as the main man that he's falling over trying too hard. He just needs one to go in somehow and we'll see the player we bought. It was right to sub him today because you could see his confidence was shot, but his misery was a sign of how much he wants it. I still think he could become a success at Spurs and I think Post is the right kind of bloke to nurture that self-belief. The whole team seems so much happier and relaxed in the way they're playing.

Yeah but we've had him for 4 years now and he's giving us nothing but a short stint his first months.

Very impressed with VDV today, felt completely confident watching him. I think he has improved every game so far. Won’t get MotM but worth a mention.

We did great but once Bournemouth pressed properly we got a bit shaken. Still building that confidence to play the way Ange wants. Hopefully we can build our confidence in procession under a proper press.
Very good signs though. Just need to finish more of the half chances I think now.

Yes hence why I said it’s based on previous. And not on 30 mins today, if you think a decent 30 mins is warrant enough to be kept around good for you. I’m just saying IMO, Davies is no way near good enough, peh could be useful to be kept around though.
Basing it off previous I assume you saw the United game when they came on and did the same solid job? I am not saying keep them to start them am I? I am saying they're fine as off the bench squad players in situations such as last week and today.

As it looks like we won't exactly get much if anybody else in, they're fine until January or even next summer.

Semenyo going off was what changed it imo. He was breaking up a lot of our moves (by both legal and illegal methods), out muscling Udogie and at times Bissouma. He was good at driving forward with the ball too and caused us a few problems in that direction.

Our senior pro's gave us some stability, but I think they lost their one real driving force in the middle and lost all control.

I'm not putting them on the same level ability-wise, but I'm currently getting similar vibes from Richy that I got from Janssen back in the day. They are so desperate to succeed that they become stuck in their own mind and aren't playing using their intuition or trusting their own abilities fully.
I hope Richy gets his convincing goal soon so he can start believing in himself more.

Tajts your opinion dude and you’re welcome to it obvs, but I disagree with you.
I didn’t see the game so I’m basing it off previous, but I still think my point is valid in that Davies isn’t top 6 standard, let alone top 4.
just my opinion though.
you should probably watch it first then, this team is very different now with the way we play and i said ages ago Davies would work so well in this formation and the way Ange plays. He solidified what was going on but kept us playing great football, he also made some lovely passes. Davies is a great squad player and we are lucky we have had him in the team.
