and yet Sanchez did get booked for a reasonable attempt at the ball.

Really not keen on this inverted fullback thing so far. They're seeing more of the ball than anybody and they're not necessarily our most talented players.

The ref should have booked Bissouma there and didn't so at least we know he's just shit rather than biased.

its been a pretty revolutionary change in both personnel and system so not surprised at all to see us not hit the ground running, against a very solid team away from home.

I wouldnt be surprised if we have a rough first few weeks at all, but think we just have to suck it up until it clicks a bit. im enjoying us at least having a go at playing football for now

I for one am surprised a team with a new manager, four debutants and that lost its best player 48 hours ago doesn’t look like the finished article.
Against a team who've got an established manager, established system and at home on the first day of the season no less.

Some people's expectations are ridiculously high!
