So, if your boss says to you 'We've found somebody who can do your job better. We agreed to pay you for 4 years but there's a company down the road who would pay you a lot less instead. How do you feel about letting us off the hook?', how would you reply?

I don't think they would really make that kind of offer because If I hadn't done a tap of work for a year and a half and shown very poor performance results..they would simply sack me.

If they told me I wasn't wanted, which it seems these have been, I would leave. Why would you stay somewhere where you aren't wanted?

There would've been a reason for him being frozen out. Not like AVB or Poch would've just looked at him and be like "oh yeah, youre frozen out now" and he probably would've been told why.

If I'd been frozen out, I would've looked to move, did he do that this season? If knew was frozen why not find a club in summer, he had ages. Why don't other clubs seemingly not want him? I think he got treated like he probably deserved if he had behind the scene antics.

He was on a season loan at QPR, then the summer is another thing. There's reports of him being allowed a free move at the time, but he didn't seem to be allowed to train with the squad. He trained on his own during the summer, but there's rumours that the club wouldn't let him join QPR for free, as they were seen as a rival, and allegedly the club then demanded a fee from other clubs which, again allegedly, got a poor reaction from BAE where he flew off the handle at Levy.

Both AVB and Poch don't seem to like edgy characters, and his tweets for supporting the salute thing also didn't do him any favours - by no means is there any real proof he refused to leave at any point.

And there is no proof that he went out and looked to try and get himself a new club.

I support my club especially once the player has left, if that player wants to be an A class **** and bad-mouth my club and act like a dick when he was there then go ahead but don't expect me to support him, especially with such little class that BAE has. He did good job at LB and for that I appreciate.

40k per week?
I wouldn't be making 40k a week. And even if I were, my other employer would probably pay me say £25k/week. It's a drop but it's still substantial.

Staying at a club where you aren't wanted and just collecting money is a lack of ambition and character. Weak mentality.

Benny always said he saw football as a job, nothing more. I respect his honesty far more than all the badge-kissing pseudo loyalty you see all the time. If he'd displayed any of that I'd be more pissed off, but he didn't. He took all of the money that the club were foolish enough to pay him. Same goes for Adebayor. They won't walk out of the door (maybe to never play again) simply to help us out.

Was great for a couple of seasons, especially with Bale in front of him.

Always remember is cracking goal bs Liverpool on the opening weekend a few years ago.

Thanks Benny.

Just because honest about it doesn't mean it's right. Show ambition in your job, and maybe if he did that he would be with a club right now.

Benny's a bit different to the norm though. He said he was in it for the money and he took the best deal. At least he was honest at the start and true to his word. So he's not fixated with THFC like us fans. I can live with it.

Maybe refreshing when honest, but doesn't mean I have liked his actions and don't like his actions now that he has left and his supposed poor attitude. I couldn't care if he wasn't fixated, tons of our players that left haven't been fixated, it's that he is treating club poorly and showing no class.

If you'd been frozen out for so long (and we don't know the full details) then would you do similar?

I don't think he's been treated well since Harry left, so I don't begrude him for his fecking profile picture when he played so many good seasons for us. That'd be the epitome of petty

While I liked him under Harry and enjoyed his thoughts on life and football etc, his profile picture on twitter has just changed my opinion of him. A clear dig at the club we are all supposedly here to support. It also makes me feel that his photo with Ade was indeed another blatant dig at our club. He was not selected or fancied by 3 managers I think that says alot.

Not been treated well since Harry left, how has he been treated unfairly, if he was training hard and could of done a job for us at LB surely at least one of our 3 recent managers would have taken a chance with him.

Yeah, well footballer's aren't generally known for being the sharpest tools in the box! In that respect Benny probably does fit the profile a bit better.

He was my favourite left back since ziege, shame it ended the way it did. Unfairly criticised by many a fan and pundit. Would take benny over the current left backs we currently have on his day. over Davies and rose on their day. Good luck to him

Goodbye Disco Crab-Man. I will certainly never forget the exocet you unleashed on Lolopool, your first goal for us and the first in what was the best league season I think I've enjoyed as a Spurs fan.
