Stoke City have appealed against Rory Delap's red card in Sunday's FA Cup win over Crawley Town. The midfielder was dismissed in the first half for a sliding challenge on the Crawley full-back David Hunt.

Though his team-mates went on to record a 2-0 win over the League Two side the Stoke manager, Tony Pulis, was visibly frustrated by the red card and the club have quickly decided to appeal in the hope of overturning Delap's three-match ban.
"After studying television replays of the incident, City have now notified the Football Association that they will be appealing against the dismissal," a statement on the club's official website read.
"The club now have 24 hours to present their evidence to the FA in the hope that the midfielder's three-match suspension will be overturned."

I think with his dosier?DVD to the FA he's trying to make out Stoke are the victims.
The red looked justified to me and the appeal might be considered frivolous. I wonder whether he's copying his great buddy SAF and he hopes to intimidate refs. Stoke seem to have benefited from poor decisions rather than the other way round.
