Which also absolutely happened. It’d be like the guy who finished middle of the field being disqualified for PEDs while Lance Armstrong was let off.

I guess the important thing is they got Armstrong in the end. But it certainly looks like Chelsea are home free now with no consequences for what they did over the last 20 years. Hopefully City get the book thrown at them, but it’s all gone very very quiet. Newcastle too with the whole “guarantees that their not part of the Saudi state” Now being demonstrably bollocks.Which also absolutely happened
Point taken. It's almost as if authorities should prevent wronguns from buying football clubs.you know Everton also did this using money from the equally dodgy Usmanov? The whole reason they are up on these charges is because of their outrageous spending over the last 6 or 7 years which is equally unfair to the likes of Leeds, Burnley etc who got relegated because they couldn’t compete financially. If they get a points deduction and subsequent relegation there’ll be no sadness from me. I very much dislike Everton and their whinging, booing fan base.
Same mate, I have a lot of time for Everton fans and their club and what they’re going through, this points deduction would be yet another kick to the balls for them.Point taken. It's almost as if authorities should prevent wronguns from buying football clubs.
My ire is that some clubs will suffer the consequences, while others now represent the finanacial backbone of the product, sorry league, the authorities rely on to make money so nothing significant will be done IMO. If I'm wrong then I can live with this outcome.
As for our different feelings on this matter, it seems to stem from the fanbase. You have had a negative experience in the main whilst I have had a generally positive one. So fair enough. My sympathies lie with the long-suffering fanbase though as a result.
Totally agree mateEverton face record-breaking point deduction as Premier League demand punishment
Everton are alleged to have breached Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules - with the Premier League wanting to impose a 12-point deduction on Sean Dyche's struggling teamwww.mirror.co.uk
If this happens they're very likely going down, and I think administration is a real possibility. Wouldn't mind seeing the title of this thread changed - it's gone from being a bit funny to being a very, very sad situation.
The Premier League don't seem to have the same determination to dock Chelsea and Man City with any points deductions, and the way they've both flouted and laughed in the face of Financial Fair Play rules over the last 20 years (in Chelsea's case) makes a mockery of the scale of punishments if Everton get a 12 point deduction.
The Chavs got a slap on the wrist transfer ban which had absolutely no effect on their behaviour. Did it deter them from further misdemeanours? Did it f*ck, they just found more cunning and innovative ways to get round the rules whilst completely taking the p*ss...
Are Everton simply easier to go after than those two ? That's what it seems like.
Really missing the optimistic rating on this siteI hope this is the first step in setting a precedent that allows the others to be punished.
Not joint bottom... 19th.Damn.
Joint bottom for Everton, then. Fortunately for them, the teams around them are awful so I'd imagine they'll probably be ok come the end of the season.
Probably overstating it a bit.Dyche will use this as a siege mentality.
