Carrick to "quit" United

According to The Mirror, Michael Carrick will leave when his contract is up this summer.

Would anyone have him back? Could do a job for us for a season or two. Even just to have around the place. We do lack that title winning experience, and he's still a baller IMO.

When Utd were signing BS and MS this summer I hoped we might look at him then for the same reasons others have mentioned but now I'm not so sure. Our midfield has outgrown the need for the father figure on the pitch.

Lad is class, passing is metronomic, reading of the game is excellent. He would still be excellent for someone, and I'd wager Man U would be doing better with him in the team.

We don't need a midfielder though, ours are already great.
