When it rains, it pours!

Radio RMC have reported that PSG and Cavani have agreed on a 4-year deal.

His buy out clause is €63m, their chairman won't be messed with, pay up or shut up.

Who's next on the big spending roller coaster?

I can't understand any reason other than money why players like Cavani would go to PSG, as the league isn't really that competitive and they could surely move to English/Spainish/German/Italian teams where they could play CL football if that is what they are after while still playing in a more competitive league.

He's bored there, he can coast through matches.

I doubt whether Juve can afford the whole package though.

Maybe they could buy his right leg and get the rest on credit, he does have a lot of nose that needs to be paid for.

If he wants a challenge, I know a team in North East London who could do with a striker and if lodgings are a problem, I have a spare room with a view of the DLR.

The French league is competitive. PSG aren't running away with it and it has been won by a few different clubs in recent years.
He could quite easily win the CL with PSG too.

Also, Paris is one of the best cities in the world.

It's a pretty tempting package when added to the huge amounts of moolah he will pick up!

I'm glad he is going there. Keeps him out of our domestic rivals clutches. We never stood a chance to bring him in so I can't get disappointed about us not buying him.

Would take Ibra back at Juve, he certainly knows how to score there. I'd take him here at Spurs too but neither club has the money for his wages. I think he'll end up staying at PSG and will work alongside Cavani. I think it's Lavezzi who will be off instead.

The french will be more pissed of at this as Platini and Sarkozy both said PSG would be good for french football as they would put money in to the French Game, yet in reality they are great for Italian football.

Interesting - I assume, given all the cr*p Platini gave for years about Financial Fair Play, that they therefore cannot possibly qualify for European tournaments?

Or was that just because FIFA/UEFA don't like English clubs? Obviously if a French club does it it's fine....

FFP wasnt Platini's idea, it was developed by the Italian or at least one of the guys at AC

No but he threw his weight behind it right around the time Chelsea were spending big and it was always aimed at English clubs more than anyone else due to the commercial exposure of the PL throughout the World and the interest in buying English clubs.

Indeed he did put his weight behind and have a go at English clubs but that was before he had a dodgy meeting with the PM, Qatari prince and PSG owner.
